Today I will talk about the most recent movie of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki, we found out about its release long after it was released in Japan and it didn't even have an official trailer, only a single poster (and well, it worked out well for them since it is the movie with the highest grossing in yen of Ghibli), without more to say, let's start.

Hoy hablaré de la mas reciente película de Studio Ghibli y Hayao Miyazaki, que nos enteramos de su estreno mucho después de que se estreno en Japón y ni siquiera contaba con un tráiler oficial, solo con un único poster (y bueno, les salió bien ya que es la película con mas recaudación en yenes de Ghibli), sin mas que decir, comencemos.
The Boy and the Heron is a film produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, based on the novel written by Yoshino Genzaburō, although the film presents a completely original story. The film tells the story of Mahito, a 12-year-old boy who lost his mother to a bombing at the hospital where she was (during the Pacific War). Mahito's father was the manager of a munitions factory that manufactured airplanes and he remarries his late wife's sister (it's all in the family) and they move away from Tokyo to a farm in the countryside where for some reason several old women live. Mahito is still dealing with the loss of his mother, plus he doesn't fit in at school and has a strained relationship with his aunt (who is now his mother, that's a bit weird for me, sorry) who is also pregnant. Mahito meets a mysterious heron who is always bothering him and telling him that his mother is alive.

I don't want to tell you the whole movie, I want that if you have the opportunity to see it don't miss it, I think it's the most metaphorical movie of Miyazaki and as I said in my previous post about the movie "The Wind Rises", I think it's not for everyone, if you don't know the style of Ghibli and Miyazaki maybe this movie will seem boring (although the critics have exalted it in overwhelming ways calling it a masterpiece), I really liked this movie, although it can be a little complicated to understand. The movie mixes real life with a fictional world (which I really love), if you are a fan of the studio's movies you will appreciate the details that this one has, the animation is the complete Studio Ghibli's seal (something I already mentioned in a previous post), when you see it, you know at once which studio produced it. The soundtrack is very good, although my favorite is still Howl's Moving Castle. It is a movie that is completely worth watching, we see Mahito go from being a child affected by the death of his mother and the tense relationship he had with his aunt to accept the loss and also accept his aunt as his new mother, the heron is a character that I find very comical and gives a touch of humor to the film.
No quiero contarles toda la película, quiero que si tienen la oportunidad de verla no la desaprovechen, creo que es la mas metafórica de Miyazaki y como dije en mi anterior post sobre la película "Se levanta el Viento", creo que no es para todo el mundo, si no conoces el estilo de Ghibli y de Miyazaki tal vez esta película te va a parecer aburrida (aunque la critica la ha exaltado de maneras abrumadoras llamándola una obra maestra), realmente me gusto mucho esta película, aunque puede ser un poco complicada de entender. La película mezcla la vida real con un mundo ficticio (que realmente me encanta), si eres fan de las películas del estudio vas a apreciar los detalles que tiene esta, la animación es el sello completo de Studio Ghibli (cosa que ya mencione en un post anterior), cuando la ves, de una vez sabes que estudio la produjo. La banda sonora es muy buena, aunque mi favorita sigue siendo la de El Castillo Ambulante. Es una película que vale completamente la pena ver, vemos a Mahito pasar de ser un niño afectado por la muerte de su madre y la relación tensa que tenia con su tía a aceptar la perdida y también aceptar a su tía como su nueva madre, la garza es un personaje que me parece muy cómico y le da su toque de humor a la película.

AL principio cuando leia el post me recordó a la tumba de las luciérnagas cuando mencionas lo del bombardeo, las películas de Ghibli siempre son bastante particulares gracias a su animación, he visto solo tres o 4 mi favorita hasta ahora es Ponyo no se porque supongo que por el amor inocente que hay entre Ponyo y el protagonista. He escuchado de esta película pero no he visto mucha publicidad al respecto, supongo que podremos ver el desarrollo Mahito y la aceptación de este respecto a la muerte de su madre, toca verla.
