Hello to all the community of The Anime Realm, I hope you are great, today I want to talk to you about an anime that really surprised me since I thought it was a typical isekai and ended up really surprising me since despite having one or another inconsistency it has been really entertaining and as you can imagine today I will talk about Tokyo Revengers.
Well let's start by talking for those who haven't seen the anime a little bit about what this one is about, and from the beginning it seems like a typical Isekai in which the main character is a 26 year old adult who leads a pretty bad life and Hanagaki Takemichi didn't really care much about his life until he sees on TV that the girl who was his high school girlfriend Tachibana Hinata (and who has been the only girlfriend he has had in his life) and her brother Tachibana Naoto die because of an attack carried out by one of the biggest gangs in Japan, The ToMan or Tokyo Manji Gang, and this awakens certain memories in Takemichi and he decides to leave his house, when he was waiting for the subway he is pushed to the tracks and "dies" run over by it. Up to this point it will be the typical Isekai as our protagonist will return not to a magical world being very broken, but will return to his adolescence when he was 14 years old and was a gangster attempt (which seriously he is doing very bad with that) and see that he can relive his adolescence and see why his adult life was so bad, meeting the brother of Hina (his girlfriend of that time) and saved from characters that harassed him decides to tell him what will happen to his sister and shaking his hand he returns to the current time, but with some changes; the most important being that Naoto is still alive and has devised a plan to save his sister together with Takemichi.
After having told you a little bit about the story of this anime I want to give you a more objective opinion about the good and bad points of the work, so let's start with the good:
-This work presents us with a quite interesting protagonist, he is not the typical broken character that when going back in time has epic abilities or something, but he is still the same fool all the time, his advantage is that knowing thanks to his trip to the past what is going to happen he can try to change the events and generate new timelines, plus our protagonist is very good at resisting blows haha plus he is really very determined in achieving to save the person he loves, so we will see what he will give everything to achieve his mission and the changes he is going to have as he generates changes in the timeline.
-The bad: anime with time travel rarely make much sense as to how the travel is done, plus it's never made clear why Takemichi has this ability, plus the way to activate it is a bit complicated so it's not something that makes a lot of sense.
Tokyo revengers really seems to me an entertaining work, with pretty good secondary characters and with an interesting story, it also has a pretty good animation as Liden Films has done a decent job to animate the work of Ken Wakui, plus the opening made by HIGE DANdism called Cry Baby is very very good.
I really recommend Tokyo revengers for those who want to see an entertaining Shonēn, with actions and good dose of humor, I am also considering to start reading the manga of the work in the coming days so I may upload a Review of the differences or what is still to be animated, without much more to add I say goodbye and I hope you are great.

Haven't watched this yet but the premise sounds fun.
It's actually pretty fun, the premise it's different than what we normally see in an Isekai, you should give it a try
