Hello to all my anime fan friends, this time I want to talk about a very curious and funny anime.. it's about the series: The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, it's something very absurd that I couldn't avoid sharing with all of you. It's an anime that aired a few months ago and I find it a lovely surprise.. it's like a journey full of touching moments, lots of funny contrasts, and just the right touch of tenderness.. if you are a cat loving person like me, this is an ideal anime for you, it's fantastic for all cat loving people.. imagine this, the premise is incredibly random.. we are talking about a cat that for mysterious reasons ends up growing, but not of a normal size.. a cat that is much bigger than you, that is to say, it is approximately almost two meters tall.. also, we are talking about a cat that cooks and cleans better than us.
It's something super crazy, right? well this is Yukichi, the star of this series, he is a huge and intelligent cat that takes care of everything so that his owner, Saku, can relax from time to time.. we are talking about gourmet meals, an impeccable house, and even goes shopping, yes, this cat goes shopping. Where can I get a Yukichi for me haha? Saku, the other main character, is the complete opposite of her responsible feline companion, she is an adorable mess.. she is a hardworking office worker who can barely keep her life in order, she comes home late after long working days.. she loves to eat junk food and forgets to take care of herself on many occasions, but Yukichi, with his serious and slightly melancholic attitude, constantly intervenes to make sure his beloved mistress doesn't have any kind of problem. The dynamic between these two is pure gold... it's like watching a sitcom where the roles are hilariously reversed, the pet is the adult and the owner is the chaotic little creature trying to survive any way she can.
Hola a todos amigos fanáticos del anime, en esta ocasión quiero hablar de un anime bastante curioso y divertido.. se trata de la serie: The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, es algo muy absurdo que no podía evitar compartir con todos ustedes. Es un anime que se emitió hace algunos meses y me parece una sorpresa encantadora.. es como un viaje lleno de momentos conmovedores, muchos contrastes graciosos, y el toque justo de ternura.. si eres una persona que ama a los gatos al igual que yo, este es un anime ideal para ti, es fantástico para todas las personas amantes de los gatos.. imagínense esto, la premisa es increíblemente aleatoria.. estamos hablando de un gato que por misteriosas razones termina creciendo, pero no de un tamaño normal.. un gato que es mucho más grande que tú, es decir, aproximadamente mide casi los dos metros.. además, estamos hablando de un gato que cocina y limpia mejor que nosotros mismos.
Es algo súper loco, ¿verdad? pues este es Yukichi, la estrella de esta serie, es un gato enorme e inteligente que se encarga de todo para que su dueña, Saku, se pueda relajar de vez en cuando.. estamos hablando de comidas gourmet, una casa impecable, e incluso sale a hacer las compras, sí, este gato sale a hacer las compras. ¿Dónde puedo conseguir un Yukichi para mí jaja? Saku, la otra protagonista, es todo lo opuesto a su responsable compañero felino, ella es un desastre adorable.. es una oficinista trabajadora que apenas puede mantener su vida en orden, llega tarde a casa luego de largas jornadas laborales.. le encanta comer comida chatarra y olvida cuidarse de sí misma en muchas ocasiones, pero Yukichi, con su actitud seria y ligeramente melancólica, interviene constantemente para asegurarse que su amada ama no tenga ningún tipo de problema. La dinámica entre estos dos es oro puro.. es como ver una comedia de situación donde los roles están graciosamente invertidos, la mascota es el adulto y la dueña es la pequeña criatura caótica que intenta sobrevivir como pueda.
One of the things I liked the most about Yukichi is how adorable and yet human he feels... despite being a cat, his expressions, body language and meticulous nature make him so relatable and realistic, he's the kind of character that sighs dramatically when Saku forgets to eat a decent meal or leaves her clothes lying around, he feels so human, it's so funny and yet so adorable at the same time. The way he silently judges his owner's decisions is amazing, but underneath all that seriousness he appears, you can really tell how much he cares about her, it's a mix of sternness with affection.. that makes him so endearing.
The humor in this series I also quite liked, it's top notch.. to see Yukichi's exasperation while dealing with his owner's antics never fails to be funny, there are certain scenes in particular where she's too lazy to do house chores like cooking, and Yukichi, being the perfectionist that he is, prepares a meal that looks like something out of a 5 star restaurant just to please her.. meanwhile, Saku is always grateful to him and tries to spoil him in any way she can, it's a perfect example of balance in their dynamic... and not to mention the scenes in the supermarket, the way Yukichi maneuvers between the aisles surpassing everyone in height, while people try to process the fact that a giant cat is buying groceries so calmly, I found it super funny.
As for the visual aspects, I found this anime to be a gem, the animation is super fluid and the colors are vibrant, without being overwhelming... there is a lot of warmth in the drawing style, in the artistic backgrounds, which makes the whole anime feel very cozy, the camera angles I also found interesting, and the dynamic shots in certain aspects give a lot of style to the anime. . I especially loved how the animators drew and animated Yukichi's movements, it's elegant but at the same time imposing, and I love the way his cat instincts come out and the way he moves, it's super fluid and fun.
Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de Yukichi es lo adorable y a la vez humano que se siente.. a pesar de ser un gato, sus expresiones, lenguaje corporal y naturaleza meticulosa lo hacen tan relatable y realista, es del tipo de personaje que suspira dramáticamente cuando Saku olvida comer una comida decente o deja su ropa tirada por ahí, se siente tan humano que es tan gracioso y a la vez tan adorable. La manera en la que juzga en silencio las decisiones de su dueña es increíble, pero debajo de toda esa seriedad que aparenta, se nota mucho cuanto se preocupa por ella, es una mezcla de severidad con afecto.. eso lo hace tan entrañable.
El humor en esta serie también me gustó bastante, es de primera.. ver la exasperación de Yukichi mientras lidia con las travesuras de su dueña nunca deja de ser divertido, hay ciertas escenas en particular donde ella está demasiado perezosa para hacer los quehaceres de la casa como cocinar, y Yukichi, siendo el perfeccionista que es, prepara una comida que parece salida de un restaurante de 5 estrellas solo para complacerla.. mientras tanto, Saku siempre es agradecida con él y trata de consentirlo de las maneras que puede, es un ejemplo perfecto de equilibrio en su dinámica.. y ni hablar de las escenas en el supermercado, la manera en la que Yukichi maniobra entre los pasillos superando a todos en altura, mientras la gente trata de procesar el hecho de que un gato gigante está comprando los comestibles tan tranquilamente, me pareció super gracioso.
En cuanto a los aspectos visuales, este anime me parece una joya, la animación es super fluida y los colores son vibrantes, sin ser abrumadores.. hay mucha calidez en el estilo de dibujo, en los fondos artísticos, lo que hace sentir que todo el anime se sienta muy acogedor, los ángulos de cámaras también me parecieron interesantes, y las tomas dinámicas en ciertos aspectos le dan mucho estilo al anime.. me encantó especialmente como los animadores dibujaron y animaron los movimientos de Yukichi, es elegante pero a la vez imponente, y me encanta la forma en la que sus instintos gatunos salen al aire y la manera en la que se mueve, es super fluida y divertido.
Now, speaking a bit about the music, the ending in particular I thought was great.. it has a nostalgic charm that perfectly complements the tone of the anime, it's the kind of song that makes you want to sit back, have a cup of tea and reflect on your day.. I found myself humming it long after the episode was over, it's simple, but incredibly effective at setting the mood. Another thing that surprised me about this anime is how it can perfectly balance humor with the much more poignant moments.. mostly the whole series is a comedy, but there are certain moments where you are hit with unexpected depth, Yukichi's melancholy side adds a layer of complexity to his character. . you can tell he carries a lot of responsibility, how disconnected he feels from the world at times, and even though he's just a cat, he's deeply invested in his owner's well-being, because of the connection they've had and the history of their past, it's touching and somewhat bittersweet.
I didn't have high expectations for the anime, I thought it would be a very typical and boring series that would have something cute as an excuse to try to appeal to a lot of people, but it didn't... it ended up surprising me... it's much more than just a big cat doing the chores... it's a celebration of those things that are so important to me. it's a celebration of those things in life, a good meal, a clean home.. and it's nice to see the bond between two very different beings, that somehow make it all work.. watching this series when it was premiering, felt like a warm hug, after a long day at work, it's nice to find anime that relaxes you and makes you have a good time.
Ahora, hablando un poco de la música, el ending en particular me pareció genial.. tiene un encanto nostálgico que complementa perfectamente el tono del anime, es el tipo de canción que te hace querer sentarte, tomar una taza de té y reflexionar sobre tu día.. me encontré tarareándola mucho después de que terminara el episodio, es simple, pero increíblemente efectiva para establecer el ambiente. Otra de las cosas que me sorprendieron de este anime es cómo puede equilibrar perfectamente el humor con los momentos mucho más conmovedores.. mayormente toda la serie es una comedia, pero hay ciertos momentos en los que te golpea una profundidad inesperada, el lado melancólico de Yukichi añade una capa de complejidad a su personaje.. puedes notar que lleva una gran responsabilidad, lo desconectado que se siente del mundo a veces, y aunque solo es un gato, está profundamente comprometido con el bienestar de su dueña, debido a la conexión que han tenido y a la historia de su pasado, es conmovedor y algo agridulce.
Yo no tenía grandes expectativas con respecto al anime, pensé que sería una serie muy típica y aburrida, que tendría como excusa algo lindo para tratar de atraer a muchas personas, pero no fue así.. terminó sorprendiéndome.. es mucho más que un simple gato grande haciendo los quehaceres.. es una celebración de las aquellas cosas de la vida, una buena comida, un hogar limpio.. y es lindo ver el vínculo entre dos seres muy diferentes, que de alguna manera hacen que todo funcione.. ver está serie cuando se estrenaba, se sentía como un abrazo cálido, luego de un largo día trabajando, es bonito encontrar animes que te relajen y que te hagan pasar un buen rato.
If I had to find a flaw, I would say that the secondary characters don't have any development, they are there just to advance the plot or add a little extra humor related to Saku's story and how she tries to hide the secret of her cat, I would have liked a little more development in the relationships that she has with her different coworkers. But honestly, I don't think I dislike it too much, I like the focus that the series has in giving much more importance to the relationship between Saku and Yukixhi, they really are the heart of the series and make you get very emotional.
So, would I recommend this anime? Yes, whether you're a fan of Slice or Life comedies, or a cat lover, or just someone who is looking for a comforting series to unwind... this anime is very worthwhile... it's funny, heartwarming, and has just the right amount of absurd things to keep you entertained. It's great to watch with your family or as a couple, to relax and be entertained for a while... it's perfect to take a break from the classic stories of extreme death, destruction and depression, I give it a rating of 8.5/10. I don't consider it a revolutionary masterpiece that will change the world of anime or anything like that, it's a pretty simple anime that knows what it brings to you... it has a charm and sincerity that makes it shine over many others. Si tuviera que buscarle algún defecto, diría que los personajes secundarios no tienen nada de desarrollo, están ahí simplemente para avanzar la trama o agregar un poco de humor extra relacionado con la historia de Saku y como trata de ocultar el secreto de su gato, me hubiera gustado un poco más de desarrollo en las relaciones que ella va teniendo con sus diferentes compañeros de trabajo. Pero sinceramente, creo que no me desagrade mucho, me gusta el enfoque que tiene la serie en darle mucha más importancia a la relación que hay entre Saku y Yukixhi, ellos realmente son el corazón de la serie y hacen que te emociones mucho.
Entonces, ¿recomendaría este anime? Sí, ya sea que seas un fanático de las comedias Slice o Life, o un amante de los gatos, o simplemente alguien que buscas una serie reconfortante para relajarse.. este anime vale mucho la pena.. es divertido, conmovedor, y tiene justo la cantidad adecuada de cosas absurdas para entretenerte. Es ideal para verlo con tus familiares o en pareja, para relajarse y entretenerse un rato.. es perfecto para descansar de las clásicas historias de muerte, destrucción y depresión extremas, yo le doy una calificación de 8.5/10. No la considero una obra maestra revolucionaria que va a cambiar el mundo del anime ni nada de eso, es un anime bastante simple que sabe lo que te aporta.. tiene un encanto y una sinceridad que lo hace resplandecer sobre muchos otros. This anime reminds me of a k-drama I saw some time ago. It was a marvel. The main character turned into a cat. Too bad about the supporting characters.
