My Weekend Binge
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing good. Hopefully, no work on the weekend; only quality time with the family and a restful afternoon. It's also a good time to check out content that you may have missed from your #hive friends. As for me, I've rediscovered #anime and watched episode #14 of Solo Leveling, which if you aren't familiar, is an award-winning series created by Chugong. Originally titled Ore dake Level Up na Ken, the show follows the journey of Sung Jin-woo as he transforms from the weakest hunter into a strong and powerful hunter rivaling the established leaders known all over. Hunters are people with special abilities who battle monsters in dungeons that appear in different locations connecting to another world. A must watch for action, adventure lovers.
I also watched the episode #2 of Sakamoto Days. A story about the life of retired hit man Taro Sakamoto and how he constantly uses his assassin skills in his ordinary existence. His former associate Shin Asakura and a crime family daughter he saved from being killed by assassins are now his convenience store employees helping him protect his family from the people in his former life. This is a nice one for me because it shows more depth and complexity. And even if I've only watched two episodes, I found it witty and funny with strong action scenes. Another must watch for anyone interested in action and funny anime.
Finally, I thoroughly enjoyed Chef & My Fridge. It was the funniest cooking show I have ever seen. Looking forward to the upcoming episode #3 on February 2. The other show that I saw was Incognito. I did 2 1/2 episodes already and I still haven't decided if I like it or not, which probably means that I don't. It's a good action drama show, but I found some parts too long or a couple of scenes that wasn't really needed in my opinion. So, I stopped in the middle of episode #3, which I don't usually do for shows that I love. We will see if I go back to finishing this series.
And that's it for today's short post. Have you seen any of the shows I mentioned? What are your thoughts on these? Anyways, thanks for dropping by. I hope that you are all doing well and also had a good, fun weekend with the family or maybe some coffee time with friends.
Love and peace,
@juanvegetarian

It was a very good weekend by all accounts, enjoying the little things that make you happy. Very interesting those recommendations you present us, especially Solo Leveling which I have heard is very good but I haven't had the chance to see it yet.
Agreed. The weekend was as good as it can get. Tell us what you think about it if you've had the chance to see it already. 😎 !PIZZA 🍕🍕🍕
I really didn't enjoy the first season of SL, maybe because I am already satisfied with the Manhwa 😆😆. But seeing the hype of season 2, I think I'll check that one again. Di ko talaga natapos season 1 nyan but I'll skip it nalang. So I'm waiting for that and that Sakamoto yo be completed. Kakainip lang, aguy.
I didn't really know about SL before so season 1 was my introduction. Bitin nga para sa akin ang season 1 nito kaya naman excited to see the next part of the journey. Sakamoto is the best though. Maganda ang story at character development nito. Kahit na 2 episodes pa lang. I know that I will re-watch it again.😎 !PIZZA 🍕🍕🍕
Hey (Kabayan) @JuanVegetarian, that sounds like an awesome weekend! I can definitely relate to rediscovering old hobbies. Anime is always a good escape, and Solo Leveling is a classic for a reason. I haven't seen Sakamoto Days yet, but the premise sounds hilarious. Retired hitman running a convenience store? Sign me up!
Chef & My Fridge sounds like a riot. I'm a sucker for cooking shows, and the idea of it being the funniest one you've seen has me intrigued. I'm a bit hesitant about Incognito though. I get that feeling sometimes where a show just doesn't click with me. No worries, you don't have to force yourself to finish something you're not enjoying.
What else did you get up to this weekend besides anime? Any good books or games? I spent most of mine catching up on some reading and finally finished that video game I've been meaning to play for ages. Hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
Both Sakamoto Days and Solo Leveling are worth watching. I may even go back and re-watch some or all episodes. Chef & My Fridge made my day and I really tried to stay quiet and not laugh while playing it late at night. I'll revisit incognito after a few days and see if I'm still not enjoying it as I should. Thanks for the comment, @jessonb-world. Yes, it was an awesome weekend meeting up with a few friends too. 😎 !DUO
