I have always been a big fan of romance and drama animes, these animes where despite having funny and funny moments the end always ends up leaving a feeling of melancholy or a somewhat bittersweet ending between sad and happy, being a fan of this style of anime one of the anime that I had heard the most and that is considered one of the most emblematic in this genre is Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso or simply known as Kimi No Uso and the truth ended up turning out as I expected and I ended up considering it as a very good anime and that every fan of this genre of anime should watch at least once.
Kimi No Uso presents us with a pair of very special protagonists and that although they seem very different at first end up being very important in each other's lives and managing to impact in a very special way in each other, on the one hand we have Miyazona Kaori, the famous violinist of this anime and has a very extroverted personality, has no problem is express and say everything you feel and even ends up having really funny moments with his personality so extravagant where without any problem ends up chasing and annoying his fellow musician.
On the other hand we have Kaori's contrast with Arima Kousei, a piano prodigy but with a rather introverted personality, someone who prefers to always keep his thoughts to himself, avoid conflicts or uncomfortable situations and who prefers to isolate himself from others, At the same time he has a strong trauma with his past that has a direct impact on his music and prevents him from playing the piano with the great talent he had as a child, much of these traumas will be due to his mother and this will be a key piece in the development of the story and will lead to some of the strongest scenes in terms of background.
Something that I didn't expect and that I hadn't really looked into so as not to ruin the experience of watching this anime was the background and problems of the main characters, in my opinion this anime ends up being so emotional because it chooses backgrounds that by themselves become quite intense and it knows how to develop them in a great way, although it could be considered as a spoiler but it is very important to clarify to understand my opinion of this anime, is Arima's past, from the first chapter we are introduced how he lives alone and how he seems to have a problem when it comes to playing the piano and all this is due to his late mother who forced him to practice until exhaustion and at the time of death her relationship with Arima was far from being the healthiest so it caused him this trauma when trying to play the piano.
In each chapter we see how the reason for Arima's trauma is explained more and more and how, despite being on the verge of collapse, thanks to Kaori's constant reproaches he manages to focus on overcoming his trauma and return to doing what he is most passionate about, being a pianist and in this case accompanied by Kaori, Another aspect that Kimi no uso develops very well is the use of the other characters, we are shown how each one has their own problems and although they could not be considered at the same level as those of Arima and Kaori, they still serve to complement the story very well, generating empathy with them and supporting the protagonists in a great way.
Despite having several funny moments and with an animation style in these moments much more simple and exaggerated to emphasize the comedy, in the end each chapter manages to be more dramatic and sentimental than the previous one, little by little it is shown how Kaori also has great difficulties in her life and how she manages to generate a mutual support with Arima to be the support that the other needed, although the ending will not be the happy ending that we expect.
Despite having a rather sad and melancholic approach, something very interesting about Kimi No Uso is how it manages to mix in a great way the difficulties and problems of its protagonists with their personal growth, how they manage to achieve a sense of satisfaction and relief when they manage to overcome problems or achieve goals and more importantly how it manages to give that message that the most important thing in your life will always be to give the best of yourself, overcome difficulties no matter if you can win or not, and make a mark in the lives of others with your way of being and with what you are most passionate about in life, no matter the dramatic ending that awaits you, if you manage to achieve what you are passionate about everything will end up being worth the effort.
I really didn't expect Kimi No Uso to have such an emotional story and to combine so many elements and feelings in its development, this anime is relatively long since it has 22 chapters plus an OVA chapter but despite this it doesn't end up having chapters that can feel like filler and the feeling after watching each chapter is very special, now I understand why whenever we talk about dramatic or sad anime this anime is usually mentioned and although its ending leaves you that feeling between sadness and happiness, it is an anime that is definitely worth watching at least once, now that I finally finish this anime so iconic, I will continue with some movies also very popular in this genre of anime such as Silent Voice and Your Name.

I like romantic anime, with comedy and learning but with a tragic ending, I know, it sounds masochistic haha but even though I expected a happy ending, the ending was handled very realistically, fighting against an aggressive disease that is rarely defeated 😢
Sad and touching 💔
although the story makes you sad, you are still a fan of these anime haha. i really liked how the whole story unfolded and the ending was very good and melancholic.
also, I loved the overcoming theme.
What a coincidence, I also watched the anime recently and there are scenes that really hit you too hard. Like the one where Kaori technically gives up and wants to drag Arima to suicide
Or there is another one where you think everything is going to be fine and then you get a hard reality check, the disease is too strong and too serious.
I really loved the anime and the ending is as you say, happy but melancholic.
There are some funny scenes, sentimental scenes of overcoming and success as well as really raw and strong moments, that point where she was already defeated and even mentioned death in a satirical but realistic way was very hard.
the ending incredibly beautiful and sad, how they somehow manage to say goodbye by being absorbed in her music was great and damn when she reads the letter she left him, how sad :/
WOW...
You had a lot to say considering it😂😂
Seems like a good show, it's added to my listing 😀✨
it has been one of the strongest anime that I found its story and that I have seen several of drama 😅, if you like this genre you must see it although the truth is quite sad at the end although with some joy haha
