After several weeks, I finished watching this great series. And in this opportunity I want to express my opinions and criticisms. Since now I can give a much more complete analysis.
Luego de varias semanas, terminé de ver esta gran serie. Y en esta oportunidad quiero expresar mis opiniones y críticas. Ya que ahora puedo dar un análisis mucho más completo.
Something that amuses me is the fact that I started and finished this series in less than a month. When there were many people who had to wait years to finish it. There were people who started watching Shingeki no Kyojin in 2013 when it started and had to wait until 2023 to see the end 😅
Algo que me causa gracia es el hecho que empecé y terminé esta serie en menos de un mes. Cuando hubo mucha gente que tuvo que esperar años para poder terminarla. Hubo personas que empezaron a ver Shingeki no Kyojin en 2013, cuando inició y tuvieron que esperar hasta 2023 para ver el final 😅
After having finished this series in its entirety, I can conclude that it is very good. For me it is not a masterpiece, but it has a great quality in many aspects. And if I had to give it a rating, it would be an 8/10.
Luego de haber terminado al completo esta serie, puedo concluir en que es muy buena. Para mí no llega a ser una obra maestra, pero sí posee una gran calidad en muchos aspectos. Y si tuviera que darle una calificación, sería un 8/10.
My problem is that after the third season, I noticed a general decline. I'm not saying it became bad, but it did lose a bit of level.
Mi problema es que a partir de la tercera temporada, noté un bajón generalizado. No digo que se haya vuelto mala, pero sí perdió un poco nivel.
Something that I didn't like at all was the revelation at the end of the third season. Where the main characters discover that outside the walls there were many more humans and more advanced than them.
Algo que a mí no me gustó para nada fue la revelación del final de la tercera temporada. Donde los protagonistas descubren que fuera de los muros había muchos más seres humanos y más avanzados que ellos.
On the one hand, I was surprised, but not in a positive way. From the beginning up to that point, I was sold the discourse that the war was between humanity and the titans, that we must avoid the extinction of human beings, the fight for freedom, etc. And it turns out that it was all an illusion and a lie. That what we had seen up to that moment was a community trapped between walls totally deceived and manipulated. Where many died for a cause that never existed. In short, this was something that I did not like at all. And the truth is that from that moment on, I lost a bit of interest.
Por un lado, si me sorprendió, pero no de manera positiva. Desde el comienzo hasta ese punto, me vendieron el discurso de la guerra era entre la humanidad y los titanes, que hay que evitar la extinción de los seres humanos, la lucha por la libertad, etc. Y resulta que todo era una ilusión y una mentira. Que lo que habíamos visto hasta ese momento era una comunidad atrapada entre muros totalmente engañada y manipulada. Donde murieron muchos por una causa que nunca existió. En definitiva, esto fue algo que a mí no me agradó para nada. Y la verdad que a partir de ese momento, perdí un poco el interés.
The animation in general is fine, but I noticed that the quality also dropped. I think they made the mistake of abusing CGI in some moments. That mistake made that some battles between titans lost epicity. I guess this is because in the middle of the series there was a change of animation house.
La animación en general, está bien, pero noté que también bajó la calidad. Creo que se cometió el error de abusar del CGI en algunos momentos. Ese error hizo que algunas batallas entre titanes perdieron epicidad. Supongo que esto se debe a que a la mitad de la serie hubo un cambio de casa de animación.
On the other hand, I noticed that the series got a little slow from the third season on. I don't know if it happened to anyone else, but I felt it was stretched too much. I guess the creator, after seeing the success his work was having, wanted to squeeze it as much as possible. Basically, I think the same could have been told in fewer chapters. Without losing details.
Por otro lado, noté que la serie se volvió algo lenta a partir de la tercera temporada. No sé si le pasó a alguien más, pero sentí que la estiraron de más. Supongo que el creador luego de ver el éxito que estaba teniendo su obra, quiso exprimirla lo máximo posible. Básicamente, creo que se pudo haber contado lo mismo en menos capítulos. Sin perder detalles.
At this point it may seem like I'm complaining too much, but the reality is that as I said, I really liked the series. I don't regret watching it and I think its season 1 and 2 are excellent.
En este punto puede parecer que me quejo demasiado, pero la realidad es que como dije, me gustó mucho la serie. No me arrepiento de haberla visto y creo que su temporada 1 y 2 son excelentes.
And now I fully understand why Shingeki no Kyojin is so famous. It's not for nothing. Beyond the mistakes it may have, it's a story worth watching.
Y ahora entiendo perfectamente por qué Shingeki no Kyojin tiene esa fama. No es para menos. Más allá de los errores que pueda tener, es una historia digna de ver.

I'm one of those who had to wait those 10 years to see the animated ending, because I read the manga because of my impatience, but I wanted to see it animated haha 😂
There was a time when I didn't like the plot twist, but that doesn't take away how great the series is, the first two seasons were great, then well, I'm not saying it was bad, but I liked the mystery of the titans haha

No, it wasn't bad at any point, but there was a slump. After the second season it was still good, but not as good. 😅

I really liked SNK until the third season, in fact the revelation of the basement was a very interesting twist. The dip in animation quality came with the change of the animation studio, as for the plot, I think it got too convoluted in the final episodes. If I have some free time, I’ll probably make a post about this anime show. Best regards!
A mí me gustó mucho SNK hasta la tercera temporada, de hecho la revelación del sótano me pareció un giro muy interesante. El bajón de calidad en la animación vino con el cambio de estudio, en cuanto a la trama creo que se puso demasiado convulsionada en el tramo final. Quizá haga un post más extenso hablando sobre esto cuando tenga tiempo. ¡Saludos!
Por lo que noto, muchos coincidimos en lo mismo. Con la tercera temporada, hubo un bajón generalizado. A mi me dio pena esto, porque SNK tenia potencial para volverse una obra maestra.

Lo que no me gustó a mí de SNK es el desarrollo que le dieron al protagonista, que al final se vuelve el antagonista de la historia. Ese giro de trama, si bien es cierto que impactó bastante, como muchos otros detalles de esta serie, hace que lo que suceda después y parte de lo que sucedió antes se haya vuelto un sinsentido. Por otro lado, las últimas dos temporadas, la trama dió tantas vueltas que personalmente se me hizo muy confuso todo el tema de las visiones, las vidas pasadas del protagonista, su hermano y todo eso. Y sin decir que el final que tiene, más en específico la muerte de Eren es... de lo peor. Lo medio salvó el post-creditos, pero igual estuvo muy forzado todo eso.
En fin, puede que no haya sido el mejor anime de su tipo, pero es uno de los más famosos actualmente por el impacto que ha tenido en la industria del anime hace una década atrás.

Coincido en prácticamente todo lo que dijiste. Yo no sé porque el autor l8e dio tantas vueltas y complicaciones a su trama. Me da la sensación de que si hubiera seguido la línea del principio, el resultado hubiera sido mejor.
A mi tampoco me agradaron mucho las dos últimas temporadas. No te digo que las vi por obligación, pero si quería otra cosa.
Por último, lo del protagonista tampoco me gustó. Eren nunca me pareció la gran cosa, pero eso de volverlo el antagonista, no me gustó para nada.

Ese anime para mí fue un suplicio jaja.. esperar tanto y después cuando llegó la temporada final la picaron como en 3 creo, un desastre total. Si hubo un bajón pero creo que uno no lo notaba por la cantidad de tiempo entre temporadas. De todas maneras para mí es si es un anime trascendental, es muy top, sobretodo con la carga "filosófica" que deja.
Por cierto, los opening también son muy buenos. Creo que eso fue de las cosas que más me quedaron.
Si jajaj, la ultima temporada la dividieron en 3 partes. Se pasaron xd
O sea, el hecho de que haya habido un bajón, no quita que sea muy buena serie. Yo la disfruté y por eso logré terminarla. Solo que me da un poco de lastima porque podía haber sido mejor.
Los openings son demasiado buenos, en especial el segundo. Que de vez en cuando me gusta escucharlo.

"Attack on Titan" is one of the very few anime shows that I've disqualified after first episode. Because show about giant naked man-eating imbeciles is lacking good and beautiful so profoundly that it is hard to think that it might have any redeeming qualities to compensate for ugliness and hyperbolic emotionally manipulating drama.

I just read your complete review. And although I don't agree very much, there are some things I do agree with. It is true that at the beginning everything is very dark and sad. Added to the fact that there are no moments of relaxation. There shouldn't necessarily be too much comedy, but there should be those moments to relax the viewer and get to know the characters better.
