After finishing Arcane, I decided to pick up Dragon Ball Daima. Which was difficult for me. Because it's complicated to go from watching a masterpiece to a decent series. It's impossible to fill the void. And in this blog I'm going to give my point of view about chapter 6, 7 and 8.
Luego de terminar Arcane, decidí retomar Dragon Ball Daima. Cosa que se me hizo difícil. Porque es complicado pasar de ver una obra de arte a una serie decente. Es imposible llenar el vacío. Y en este blog voy a dar mi punto de vista acerca del capítulo 6, 7 y 8.
In a few words, I would say that these chapters were pretty good. I would even say they were slightly better than what I had been seeing. It didn't get boring at all. On the contrary, chapter 8 was very short. I don't think the series has become outstanding, but I'm looking forward to episode 9.
En pocas palabras, diría que estos capítulos estuvieron bastante bien. Hasta diría que estuvieron levemente mejor a lo venía viendo. En ningún momento se me hizo pesado. Al contrario, el capítulo 8 se me hizo cortísimo. No pienso que la serie se haya vuelto sobresaliente, pero estoy esperando con entusiasmo el capítulo 9. Me dejó un poco atrapado.
Something I would like to highlight as a positive point, are the fights. I was impressed by how well done and how well animated they are. I especially liked that they are not just a game of colored lights. For a long time, Dragon Ball made us used to fights being a flashing show. To the point that they looked like fireworks. In Daima you can really appreciate martial arts. There is a technique and a well thought out strategy. Especially, I would like to highlight the fight of Goku and the first Tamagami defending a dragon ball. Which I thought was very good and left me impressed. And secondly, I would like to name the confrontation between Goku and Glorio, which was also good.
Algo que quisiera destacar como punto positivo, son las peleas. Me impresionó lo bien hechas y lo bien animadas que están. Sobre todo me gustó que no sean simplemente un juego de luces de colores. Ya que Dragon Ball nos malacostumbraron por mucho tiempo a que las peleas fueran un espectáculo de destellos. Al punto que parecían fuegos artificiales. En Daima sí se puede apreciar las artes marciales. Existe una técnica y una estrategia bien pensada. Especialmente, quisiera destacar la pelea de Goku y el primer Tamagami que defendía una bola de dragón. Que me pareció muy buena y me dejó impresionado. Y en segundo lugar, quisiera nombrar el enfrentamiento entre Goku y Glorio, que también estuvo bien.
Another thing I liked is that this series reveals quite a bit of interesting information. Like for example, that Kaiō Shin's real name is Nahere or that Buu's real creator was a witch named Marba, instead of Babidi. You could say that the series ties in quite well with the events of the Buu saga.
Otra cosa que me gustó es que esta serie nos revela bastante información interesante. Como por ejemplo, que el verdadero nombre de Kaiō Shin es Nahere o que el verdadero creador de Buu fue una bruja llamada Marba, en lugar de Babidi. Se podría decir que la serie está bastante bien enlazada con los acontecimientos de la saga de Buu.
I have a love hate relationship with the humor in this series. There were 2 or 3 occasions where I genuinely laughed. Like the scene where Tamagami is seen imitating Goku's kame Kame Ha after being defeated. The problem is that there is a certain type of humor that produces a lot of embarrassment. To the point of thinking “what the fuck am I doing watching this”. By that I mean all comedy referring to defecating, farting, etc. I find the humor too childish and I can't help but feel uncomfortable. It's like I'm watching the entertaining episode and a fucking joke comes in and ruins my enjoyment.
Tengo una relación amor odio con el humor de esta serie. La verdad hubo 2 o 3 ocasiones donde genuinamente me reí. Como en la escena donde el Tamagami luego de ser derrotado se lo ve imitando el kame Kame Ha de Goku. El problema es que hay cierto tipo de humor que produce mucha vergüenza ajena. Al punto de llegar a pensar “qué mierda hago viendo esto”. Con esto me refiero a toda comedia referente a defecar, pedos, etc. Se me hace un humor demasiado infantil y no puedo evitar sentir incomodidad. Es como que estoy viendo el capítulo entretenido y llega un maldito chiste que me arruina el disfrute.
I have a feeling that from this point on, it will get even more interesting. In particular, I am intrigued by several questions. I would like to know if Glorio is one of the good guys or the bad guys in the end. If they are really going to create another Buu. Or if there really will be a new fusion.
Personally, from now on I will be more attentive and aware of the new chapters. And I consider that Dragon Ball Daima went from a 5 to a 6. It's still not amazing, but I think it improved a little bit.

En lo personal, a partir de ahora voy a estar más atento y al tanto de los nuevos capítulos. Y considero que Dragon Ball Daima pasó de un 5 a un 6. Sigue sin ser sorprendente, pero creo que mejoró un poco.

I'm glad to see that they started to put a little more action into it, I'm only in the fourth chapter but I plan to keep watching it. I feel like what they did with Daima is something very similar to the original DB where we saw more adventures with a child Goku, they really went back to the beginning and I don't see it as bad. The fights and the immediacy of things did a lot of damage to the DB fan, it's true that these first episodes were “slower” but they are still enjoyable.
I hope to catch up soon because as I read it's getting good.
