I love this anime despite the fact that I am not a fan of anime, I know, I know it sounds strange and believe me it is difficult to explain but in reality I do not feel the same fascination as most people when they watch anime series, however I like many of the Studio Ghibli films, but as for series, none have hooked me as much as Candy did in my childhood, adolescence and adulthood, it has been in all stages of my life.
amo este anime a pesar de que no soy fan de los animes, lo sé, sé que suena raro y créame que es difícil de explicar pero en realidad yo no siento la misma fascinación que la mayoría de personas cuando ven series de anime, sin embargo me gustan muchas de las películas de estudios Ghibli, pero en cuanto a series, ninguna me ha enganchado tanto como lo hizo Candy en mi infancia, adolescencia y adultez, ha estado en todas las etapas de mi vida.
I clearly remember when I was a child and my mother told me about the series, because she even watched it herself during her adolescence. I have been able to perceive different emotions in each stage of my life in which I have seen it, and that is due to the depth of the story, we can call its style cheesy without fear of being wrong, because at the time in which it was created this was something common, but we cannot underestimate the story as such, it is so full of nuances, we can find very important themes that go far beyond simple romance, for example orphanhood, classism, responsibility and even war, Candy She is out of the ordinary when it comes to comparing her with other protagonists, she is a girl ahead of her time, self-sufficient, with a high sense of responsibility and nobility, but at the same time she is carefree and happy, her laughter flooded any room and For that reason when you saw her cry your heart suffered with her.
Recuerdo claramente cuando era niña y mi mamá me hablaba de la serie, porque hasta ella misma la vio durante su adolescencia. Yo he podido percibir emociones diferentes en cada etapa de mi vida en las cuales la he visto, y eso se debe a la profundidad de la historia, podemos tildar a su estilo de cursi sin miedo a equivocarnos, porque en la época en la que fue creado esto era algo común, pero no podemos menospreciar la historia como tal, está tan llena de matices, podemos encontrar temas importantísimos que van mucho más allá del simple romance, por ejemplo la orfandad, el clasismo, la responsabilidad y hasta la guerra, Candy se sale de lo común a la hora de compararla con otras protagonistas, es una chica adelantada a su tiempo, autosuficiente, con un alto sentido de la responsabilidad y la nobleza, pero al mismo tiempo es desenfadada y alegre, su risa inundaba cualquier estancia y por esa razón cuando la veías llorar tu corazón sufría con ella.
But for me, one of the most heartbreaking scenes without a doubt is the death of Stear when he has to go to fight in the First World War. It was horrible to know that he was no longer going to be there to make everyone laugh with his witticisms and his actions. crazy inventions that never worked, it is in that scene where we realize the fragility of life, that it can end in a second and that only the moments already lived matter. Honestly, the animation hasn't aged well but the scene still manages to convey the character's emotions very well.
Pero para mi una de las escenas más desgarradoras sin lugar a dudas es la muerte de Stear cuando tiene que ir a combatir en la primera guerra mundial, fue horrible saber que ya no iba a estar allí para hacer reír a todos con sus ocurrencias y sus locos inventos que nunca funcionaban, es en esa escena donde nos damos cuenta de la fragilidad de la vida, que esta puede acabar en un segundo y que solo importan los momentos ya vividos. Honestamente la animación no envejeció bien pero aún así la escena logra transmitir muy bien las emociones del personaje
In short, it is a classic that I will never stop watching whenever I have the opportunity, that I love and I think I will like it for the rest of my life due to all the feelings that it moves in me with each episode. En fin, es un clásico que jamás dejaré de ver siempre que tenga la oportunidad, que me encanta y creo que me gustará toda la vida debido a todos los sentimientos que mueve en mi con cada episodio. You're right, the things that were done before had greater depth and conveyed more emotions, I learned about this anime thanks to my mother and the truth is that even today I would like to see it, it would be good if they made a remake to freshen it up a little but I would have to being well made and the way things are lately with the remakes is a bit scary.
I have never seen this type of series but I know how much you have always liked it, and from the conversations you have with your mother about it it seems that it has an interesting plot.

No recuerdo haber visto Candy, pero sí que la pasaban muy a menudo por la tele. A mí el anime que me encantó y que me da muchos recuerdos de mi infancia fue Saylor Moon. Era fanática y lo adoré jeje. Recuerdo que siempre jugábamos con mis amigas (justo éramos cinco) y yo era Mina jaja.
Te la recomiendo amiga, está completita en youtube, recuerdo que tenía un doblaje argentino hermoso, ya sabes que me encanta ese acento de ustedes tan bonito.
Recuerdo Saylor Moon aunque no la vi, también recuerdo que la pasaban en la tele. Yo jugaba a lo Power Ranger y era Kimberly jaja 😄

Esos animes no lo vi pero sí que recuerdo muy bien cuando los pasaban por la tele, tenían una estética muy linda.

No, no tuve la oportunidad de leerlo pero sé que obviamente es mejor, las versiones escritas siempre son mejores, me pasó con Narnia y Harry Potter 😍
