I can mention one of my favorite characters so far, Guts. His horrible trauma experiences shaped his personality to be a person that falls in the middle of good and bad. He had no reason to be who he is, he's just a product of very unlucky circumstances that at the end lead hi actions to be somewhat beneficial,but being a good hero never has been his goal.
