This is the most underrated Isekai manga I have ever read. Normally I make fun of isaki series, but this one had me hooked.
It's unique, it's crazy! It's funny! It's emotional! It blends all the isekai stories & concepts that you know to make this one story.

The name of the main character of this series is Ed, who has to go through 100 doors, leading to 100 worlds and work with the hero of that world and his party to save that world. Then after saving the world, he gets kicked out of the party 100 times. And he is doing all this, just so that he can finally get back to his home, his own world.

He gained experiences from those 100 worlds, a painful and long journey, each time resetting his age whenever he starts again, until he finally makes it about to go home a tragic event that changes everything.

Funny that the main character Ed - who is so desperate to go home used his last wish to do something else, after deciding to see what happened to the first world that he went in. He saw a very chaotic situation in that world, the world that was saved in the past is now destroyed.

The writing of this manga series is very good. I would say just give it a try. This manga has only a few chapters released and also there's a cute elf girl too, which makes the story more interesting. The elf girl back story is so good & really heart touching.

I did not know that term "Isekai", or type of anime. The style attracts attention. As you mention it's a type of anime that is not one of your favorites, but it still caught your attention, it must have something good, it's worth looking for it and give it a chance.
It's story is little different than all other Isekai anime, which appeals me. I will recommend you to give it a try
