Mashle: A manga with a ridiculously strong protagonist

Hello Hive friends, today I bring you a review of an anime/manga that surely you all know and have seen everywhere, even in this community I have seen several posts about it. That's right, as you read in the title, I'm talking about "Mashle", which I saw so much because of the second opening of this anime, plus the recommendation of a friend who told me that I was going to laugh a lot. So well, let's go with the review.

Both the anime and the manga begins by telling us that the world is full of wizards and magic, in which each person has a mark that signifies how much magical power you can control. The more marks you have, the more powerful you are. But this is where our peculiar protagonist comes in, who doesn't have or doesn't possess any kind of magic or mark. So the person who takes care of him, I don't know if it's dad or grandpa, since in the anime he calls him dad, but then later on later he calls him grandpa, so I'm a little confused on that. This one hides him because of the condition Mash has, and this is punishable by death.

At the beginning we can see that Mash has great physical power, as he can even lift heavy weights. One day, when his grandfather goes out, Mash decides to go to the city, which is forbidden since he can be discovered. But our protagonist has a fascination for cupcakes, which are like breads filled with pastry cream, or so it seemed to me. So he goes out wearing a hood so no one can see him. Then, when he arrives in town, he goes to the store where they sell these desserts, and here we can again observe the ridiculous strength that Mashle has, since at the time of payment, the coins are folded, but he unfolds them with ease. He is then spotted by a policeman and seeing that he has no mark, he decides to chase him. Mash runs away at high speed, but the policeman casts a kind of spell that tracks him.

Mash's grandfather, discovering that Mash went out without his permission, sends him to exercise again. During this time, the cops break into the house and start torturing the grandfather, leaving him almost dead. As in every anime, Mash arrives at the right time to stop them, so he must confront this policeman. Here again we can see the great power that our protagonist has, since the policeman casts a spell on him that can destroy the whole valley, besides having made a dragon flee thanks to him. But Mash deflects it with his bare hand as if it were nothing. The policeman admits defeat, but blackmails Mash not to notify the higher-ups that there is someone who cannot use magic. He sets him on a mission to become a chosen one of God, so that he can live quietly with his grandfather deep in the forest. This is when the real adventures of our protagonist begin, and we will also meet some very funny and interesting characters.

"Mashle" I found this anime quite entertaining because of the ridiculous strength Mash has and how he uses it to do even more ridiculous things, which I found very funny, such as flying. He accomplishes this by moving his legs at such a speed that he soars, or when he uses the broom, pulls it and then rides it. Really this anime has some pretty funny moments that make you stay just for that simple fact. I also wondered how they would handle the plot, since having a character that pretty much beats everyone, so to speak, it would be a bit boring if they only focused on him. As you progress, you notice that this won't be the case, as they give prominence to different characters you'll find in him in both the anime and manga, thus showing us their past and their goals. Also, not only do the battles focus on Mash, but also on his friends who are always with him. In that part I liked how they handled everything. Mind you, I also read the manga and I didn't feel that it was the same, or that those funny moments weren't as meaningful, just some of them. Also, when I finished it, I felt that the battles were won "just because" or that they were much faster, so to speak. But all in all, it was entertaining nonetheless. It reminded me of "One Punch Man" and I guess this one also carries its plot in not focusing all the fights on Saitama. If you want an anime to pass the time and have a few laughs, "Mashle" is for you.

I think I would laugh a lot watching this manga, I like it when characters use excessive force without any kind of sense. And well, it certainly reminds of One Punch Man, although for sure this one has its touches of originality and personality.

Thanks for sharing this review. Remember it's important to visit and support other users. Regards!

Yes, in a certain sense this one is a little more expressive than Saitama and this makes it not to be compared so much to his personality, for sure you will laugh a lot like I did. I hope if you have the chance you see it or read the manga. Thanks for your comment <3

I don't usually read mangas, but I must say that I find this one interesting, great character design. I'll have to read it to see the story. I managed to see One Punch Man and if you liked it, if this one has a similarity, I think I might like it.

Greetings.

So as you say if you liked one puch man for sure you will like Mashle too since it has like the same theme a super strong prota and does ridiculously funny things thanks to his great strength HAHAHAHAH. Thanks for your comment <3
