It's been a week since we witnessed the historic ending of one of the anime that caused the most impact in the world, of course, I'm talking about Shingeki no Kyojin. It is true that in the manga this story had already ended, but I think most of us waited patiently for the animation and avoided learning about the upcoming events, well, at least in my case it was like that. I was aware that if I wanted to know the ending it was enough to do a couple of searches on the internet, but I think this kind of stories become more valuable when you see them with a good animation, although I do not disregard the manga in that sense.
It was almost 10 years ago that this adventure began, in which Eren, Armin and Mikasa, three childhood friends, decided to join the then prestigious and honorable Legion of Reconnaissance with the intention of defending the walls of the city from the threat of the mysterious titans, creatures that gradually scourged the peace and tranquility of the villagers. From then on, we were able to meet iconic and inspiring characters, as well as witness unbreakable friendly relationships; however, betrayal in its crudest expression did not take long to appear.
Shingeki no Kyojin was not only about the fight of humans against giants, in fact, I think that at the time that went to the background and as the chapters progressed we understood that secrets and conspiracies abounded, which created an atmosphere of suspense and uncertainty in those of us who were eager to know much more of this curious world. In this post I will try not to tell you about those complicated plots and plot twists since you surely know them, but if not, I don't want to give you spoilers either.

Ya pasó una semana desde que presenciamos el histórico final de uno de los anime que más causó impacto en el mundo, por supuesto, estoy hablando de Shingeki no Kyoyin. Es cierto que en el manga ésta historia ya había finalizado, pero creo que la gran mayoría de nosotros esperó pacientemente la animación y evitó enterarse de los acontecimientos venideros, bueno, por lo menos en mi caso fue así. Yo estaba consciente de que si quería saber el final bastaba con hacer un par de búsquedas en internet, pero creo que este tipo de historias cobran más valor cuando las ves con una buena animación, aunque no desestimo el manga en ese sentido.
Hace prácticamente 10 años fue que inició esta aventura en la que Eren, Armin y Mikasa, tres amigos de la infancia, decidieron unirse a la entonces prestigiosa y honorable Legión de Reconocimiento con la intensión de defender las murallas de la amenaza de los misteriosos titanes, criaturas que azotaban paulatinamente la paz y tranquilidad de los pobladores. En lo sucesivo, pudimos conocer personajes icónicos e inspiradores, además de también presenciar relaciones amistosas inquebrantables; sin embargo, la traición en su más cruda expresión no tardó en aparecer.
Y es que Shingeki no Kyoyin no solo trataba de la lucha de humanos contra gigantes, de hecho, creo que en su momento eso pasó a un segundo plano y es que a medida que iban avanzando los capítulos íbamos entendiendo que los secretos y las conspiraciones abundaban, cosa que creaba un ambiente de suspenso e incertidumbre en quienes estábamos ansiosos por conocer mucho más de este curioso mundo. En este post trataré de no hablarles de esas complicadas tramas y giros argumentales ya que de seguro las conoces, pero si no, tampoco quiero darte spoilers.
Politics and the influence of high social and oligarchic ranks who were aware of myths and stories that were not common knowledge, did not take long to wreak havoc with their controversial decisions, and at the time we would understand that the world went far beyond the walls and that it was much bigger than what we had been presented at the time, which undoubtedly would expand to other levels and latitudes the fight against the incomprehensible titans, but more importantly, the fight against the same human being.
Many secrets and mysteries were revealed over the years, our three protagonists witnessed countless and painful deaths of comrades who fought with honor and tirelessly for what they believed was justice or to defend their own side. Thus, with the passing of time, history was gradually turning into a struggle between peoples with different heritages and beliefs, the titans were passing into the background and were used mostly as weapons with which they could take advantage in a selfish and classist struggle.
Shingeki no Kyoyin had the positive feature that it was mutating very often, what we started watching was nothing like what we ended up witnessing and that is one of the things that kept us expectant and on the edge of the couch for so long, few anime have made me feel so uncomfortable or so excited by situations that happened that I never imagined, that is certainly one of the virtues that this exciting story has and that make it what it is today.

La política y la influencia de altos rangos sociales y oligárquicos los cuales eran conscientes de mitos e historias que no eran de conocimiento común, no tardaron en causar estragos con sus polémicas decisiones, y es que en su momento entenderíamos que el mundo iba mucho más allá de las murallas y que era mucho más grande de lo que nos habían presentado en su momento, cosa que sin duda expandiría a otros niveles y latitudes la lucha contra los incomprensibles titanes, pero más importante aún, la lucha contra el mismo ser humano.
Muchos secretos y misterios fueron revelados con el pasar de los años, nuestros tres protagonistas presenciaron incontables y dolorosas muertes de compañeros que lucharon con honor e incansablemente por lo que ellos creían que era justicia o por defender a los de su bando. Es así que con el pasar del tiempo la historia se iba tornando poco a poco en una lucha entre pueblos con distintas herencias y creencias, los titanes fueron pasando a un segundo plano y eran usados más que todo como armas con la cuales podían tomar ventaja en una lucha egoísta y clasista.
Shingeki no Kyoyin tuvo la característica positiva de que iba mutando argumentalmente con mucha frecuencia, lo que empezamos viendo no se parece en nada a lo que terminamos presenciando y esa es una de las cosas que nos hizo mantenernos expectantes y al borde del sillón durante tanto tiempo, pocos anime me han hecho sentir tan incómodo o tan emocionado por situaciones que sucedieron que nunca imaginé, esa es sin duda una de las virtudes que tiene esta apasionante historia y que la hacen ser lo que es hoy.
One of the striking aspects of this anime was its animation, to see the members of the legion of reconnaissance flying through the air with such mastery and precision carrying those sharp swords was always a spectacle, I think they were scenes full of action and revolutionary. We also got to see a lot of blood, both from the giants (simpler deaths) and from the humans (terrible and heartbreaking deaths), the latter being even uncomfortable to assimilate, definitely in that sense there was little or no censorship, something that fans will always be grateful for.
Talking a bit about last weekend's finale, I must say that I liked it, but at the same time I found it strange, I felt that at a certain point they resolved things in a very abrupt way and that they introduced elements that seemed like unnecessary filler (I insist that I don't want to give you spoilers). However, in general it is an ending that fulfills and that closes emotionally a stage that we will always remember, Eren, Armin and Mikasa were in charge of transmitting us with their particular personalities very important values, well, I think we could also feel the same with countless and important characters that throughout the series were winning our hearts and appreciation; and of course, I think we will never forget the anime that had the end of the end of the end of the final ending.

Uno de los aspectos llamativos de este anime, fue su animación, ver a los miembros de la legión de reconocimiento surcar los aires con tal maestría y precisión portando esas filosas espadas siempre fue un espectáculo, creo que eran escenas llenas de mucha acción y revolucionarias. También pudimos ver mucha sangre, tanto de parte de los gigantes (muertes más simples) como de los humanos (muertes terribles y desgarradoras), siendo éstas últimas incluso incómodas de asimilar, definitivamente en ese sentido hubo poca o nada de censura, cosa que los fans siempre agradecerán.
Hablando un poco sobre el final del pasado fin de semana, debo decir que me gustó, pero a su vez me pareció extraño, sentí que en cierto punto resolvieron cosas de una manera muy abrupta y que introdujeron elementos que parecían relleno innecesario (insisto en que no quiero darles spoilers). Sin embargo, en líneas generales es un final que cumple y que cierra emotivamente una etapa que siempre recordaremos, Eren, Armin y Mikasa se encargaron de transmitirnos con sus particulares personalidades valores muy importantes, bueno, creo que también pudimos sentir lo mismo con incontables e importantes personajes que a lo largo de la serie se iban ganado nuestros corazones y aprecio; y claro, creo que nunca olvidaremos el anime que tuvo el final del final del final definitivo.

Drama is one of the things that this famous anime has the most of. I think the success of this anime lies in how different it is, we haven't seen anything like it until now.
Yo no puedo opinar el final de este anime/manga porque me meten preso, a mí no me gustó en lo absoluto y mira que había una forma de hacerlo perfecto.

I actually agree with you that it wasn't perfect, in fact in the post I mention that it was weird, it certainly could have been better, but at the end of the day it's an ending. Feel free to say what you want about this event, I think it would be interesting to know what you think about it 😉.
Desde el inicio con WIT Studio la animación fue una maravilla, luego WIT dijo que ya no iban a seguir con el proyecto desde que terminó la 3ra temporada y MAPPA tomó las riendas... Todo el mundo estaba a la expectativa, y si bien los primeros capítulos no salieron muy bien en cuanto a la animación, éste último capítulo fue magistral sinceramente...
Con respecto al final, meh, a mi no me gustó, pero tampoco ando molestando a los que sí les gustó, para eso estamos, para tener opiniones distintas y eso es bastante bueno

I agree with you, everyone has their own opinion and point of view of this controversial ending that although it is true that I didn't dislike it at all, it could have been much more epic and convincing. What also happens is that the fact that they gave so many twists to the real final chapter, made the expectations were sky high. Greetings!

Definitely, we will never forget it, in fact, I miss it already, I follow it since it was released in 2013 but I am one of the impatient people who is ready to read the manga haha.
They did a brilliant job with this story, how they handled the stunt team was brutal and they really knew how to give it a very good animation and soundtrack, which made it more exciting ❤️
The themes that are dealt with here are deeper and more real than I imagined when I saw the first chapter, it surprised me too much as the mystery was revealed.
It was an excellent anime, with many emotions and really uncomfortable deaths to see, some more than others and very brutal to tell the truth.

Hicieron un brillante trabajo con esta historia, como manejaban el equipo de maniobras fue brutal y si que supieron darle una muy buena animacion y banda sonora, lo que lo hacia mas emocionante ❤️
Los temas que aqui se tratan son mas profundos y reales de lo que imaginaba cuando vi el primer capitulo, me sorprendio demasiado a medida que se iba revelando el misterio.
Fue un excelente anime, con muchas emociones y muertes realmente incomodas de ver, algunas mas que otras y muy brutales a decir verdad.
I preferred not to read the manga and stay away from that information as much as possible, I think it is a story that impacts a lot with the animation, although I don't underestimate the manga at all.
A legacy of this anime is the soundtrack and animation, I think it will be a long time before we can see something similar, the music was always closely related to the story and that is difficult to achieve.

I also saw the final episode and I was left with some disappointments, I knew that the outcome was not going to be happy or fanservice but it seems to me that it could have been addressed better.
The moral of the series is that human beings are conflictive and self-destructive by nature, beyond titans or external forces we will always find a way to create wars and conflicts.
También vi el capítulo final y me quedé con algunos sinsabores, sabia que el desenlace no iba a ser feliz o fanservice pero me parece que pudo abordarse mejor.
La moraleja que me deja la série es que los seres humanos son conflictivos y auto destructivos por naturaleza, más allá de titanes o fuerzas externas siempre vamos a conseguir la manera de crear guerras y conflictos.
I really loved SNK when Wit's team was in charge of its production, when Mappa took the show I felt that the animation, direction and the soundtrack were not as good as before. However, I liked what they did with the two finale episodes even though I think the story could have a better conclusion, but that's Isayama´s fault xD
