After finishing this great year 2024, a colleague and creator here at Hive has given me the idea to talk about how I have managed to watch so many anime in a single year. Surely 110 anime is nothing for some of you who are veterans in this community, but for many maybe and it is a feat, perhaps. What I do know is that it's not the first time I've done this, as in the past 2023 I've managed to watch 106 anime on air, which added with this year's can be somewhat close to the actual amount of anime I've watched in my entire life. In this post I will tell you a little bit about how I do to watch so many anime and what I do after watching them.

Seguramente 110 animes no es nada para algunos de los que son veteranos en esta comunidad, pero para muchos tal vez y sea una hazaña, tal vez. Lo que sí sé es que no es la primera vez que hago esto, ya que en el pasado 2023 he conseguido ver 106 animes en emisión, lo cual sumado con los de este año se puede aproximar un poco a la cantidad real de animes que he visto en toda mi vida. En este post les hablaré un poco de cómo hago para ver tantos animes y qué es lo que hago luego de verlos.

It wasn't at all difficult for me to start watching several anime on air every day, every week, choosing from the ones I liked the most in each genre until I had watched a total of 32 anime in one season (my advantage is that I don't just focus on one or two genres, I like to vary a lot, watching anime in drama, mystery, suspense, horror, romance, fantasy, science fiction, life retellings, comedy, etc.). As I watched, I would write down each anime I watched in a notebook, with a list that I would later use to make tops and from there also draw from to do reviews in the future. I usually watch anime I'm going to talk about with time, after watching them complete is when I decide to review them and not during or before to give more value and veracity to what I say or write about them. When I came to Hive at the beginning of 2024, in March, I decided to bring everything I liked to watch and talk about to this community, which was easy for me since I had experience doing this kind of content on the internet since then.

No me fue para nada difícil empezar a ver varios animes en emisión cada día, cada semana, escogiendo entre los que más me gustaban de cada género hasta llegar a verme un total de 32 animes en una temporada (mi ventaja es que no solo me centro en uno o dos géneros, sino que me gusta variar mucho, viendo animes de drama, misterio, suspenso, terror, romance, fantasía, ciencia ficción, recuentos de la vida, comedia, etc.). Mientras miraba, anotaba cada anime que veía en un cuaderno, con una lista que luego me serviría para hacer tops y de ahí también sacar para hacer reseñas en un futuro. Acostumbro a ver animes de los que voy a hablar con tiempo, luego de verlos completos es que decido hacerles una reseña y no durante o antes para así darle más valor y veracidad a lo que diga o escriba sobre estos. Cuando llegué a Hive a principios del 2024, en Marzo, decidí traer todo lo que me gustaba ver y hablar a esta comunidad, lo cual se me hizo fácil ya que tenía experiencia haciendo este tipo de contenido en internet desde aquel entonces.

Normalmente dejo de lado los estrenos de nuevas temporadas de animes que no he visto, por obvias razones. Luego de varias semanas, anoto todos los animes que estoy siguiendo en esta temporada y hago una lista. De esta lista saco después varios tops, escogiendo entre los géneros de los que más se basan cada anime. Normalmente los géneros más populares para hacer reseñas son: Isekai, Fantasía (que no es lo mismo que los Isekai), Acción y Romance. A duras penas consigo sacar más de tres tops en una temporada, pero hay veces en las que sobra. Luego de acabar de ver todos los animes en emisión, al terminar de emitirse evidentemente, empiezo a hacer dichos tops que ven son los que les traigo cada cierto tiempo. En los meses siguientes es cuando les hablo de los animes que más me gustaron de dicha temporada en una reseña de cada uno.

Maybe way back in my high school days I could accomplish that, but now, college sched is definitely merciless ahuhuhuhu... btw, it's amazing to know how dedicated you are in both watching animes and making reviews afterwards. Like you, I also make a list of the anime series I watched and reviewed. I don't really watch newly released anime; I prefer those that are already finished because I'm not fond of waiting for updates.. so it's really admirable that you're able to catch up quickly to those new anime series.
