Hello @infinitejourney! Indeed, two and a half years after the manga premiered in Japan, by Akira Toriyama, the animated version was published. Then it expanded worldwide. The other series followed, which you should already know, such as Dragon Ball Z, etc. I'm only sharing my reactions to the Dragon Ball volume 1 book, because I'd only seen the series on TV and in theaters.Cheers.
