Incredibly verbose show that made my eyes sore from reading subtitles. Despite somewhat primitive/minimalistic characters drawing and their unsophisticated nature, the show features beautifully captivating background art style. The story, although interesting enough, is not particularly deep: for no good reason protagonists are going on adventure to find and collect rare swords made by famous swordsmith. They do not hesitate to kill anybody (whether good or not) who stands in their way or possesses a sword they are after, and superior fighting skills of main protagonist allow them to succeed.
Characters talk a lot, especially during fights, thoroughly describing their weapons, tactics, techniques and motivation. Verbosity of dialogs is compensated by some humour.
The show does some hairacter development, when characters change their hair style as substitute for poor character development.
Supernatural component is present but it does not spoil the show. What falsification of history have to do with that? You'll have to watch the show to find out ;)
