Hoy es jueves y estoy reajustando mi horario para compartir de nuevo semanalmente con ustedes, preferiblemente este día. Así que aquí ando con mi intención de darles mi opinión sin spoilers de esta película que está recién salida del horno en
¿Dónde están los fans de Henry Cavill, digo de The Witcher? Es que amé esta serie fue por la interpretación de mi actor favorito, quien es mi Crush desde que hizo Superman, y bueno cómo no amar este hombre si es perfecto. Por eso cuando vi la portada con este título de The Witcher no dudé ni un minuto en verlo.
Y es que me he vuelto fan de esta saga desde que Henry trabajó en ella y fue elegido para interpretar a Geralt de Rivia, fue como si este personaje de dicho juego de video fue creado especialmente pensando en él y su formidable físico.
Y bueno este film aunque me gustó, no está en mi lista de favoritos, luego de verlo concluí que sólo me entretuvo y me agradó ver esta versión animé de Geralt de Rivia junto con otros protagonistas importantes de la serie.
Les explico por qué no me gustó tanto. La trama, aunque por momentos estuvo bastante interesante y me causó impresiones con situaciones inesperadas que me tomaron por sorpresa, me recordó un poquito bastante a la historia de Ariel de Disney.
Si, La Sirenita, ese clásico de Disney con la historia de la hija rebelde enamorada de un príncipe que es humano. Aquí se puede decir que tomaron de base esa trama sólo que la transformaron más a lo gótico y oscuro del universo de The Witcher.
Y es que sí, la historia aunque se parece, no es igual. Otro aspecto negativo a resaltar es que la trama en un punto se vuelve predecible, es decir, ya sabemos que Geralt es un cazador de monstros que a la vez es discriminado por ser brujo y por incumplir de algún modo su trabajo en búsqueda de una justicia a mano limpia por su alta moral.
Pienso que la historia de romance se pudo desarrollar de manera más profunda y amplia. A su vez también tiene una que otra escena de sexo muy censurada, mientras que por otro lado muestra escenas de acción, con peleas bastante fuertes y gráficas, a un nivel Gore.
En cuanto a los diseños, estuvo aceptable, pero por ser de Netflix y sabiendo que podían invertir más en realizar una mejor calidad de personajes a nivel artístico, sigo creyendo que se quedaron cortos. Es decir, desde mi perspectiva pienso que pudieron dar algo mejor y más elaborado, con más detalles.
En cuanto a la disputa entre los diferentes reinados, estuvo bien llevada, el suspenso se manejó muy bien y las escenas inesperadas también me resultaron geniales. El diseño artístico por momentos me encantó pero luego me disgustaba porque se veía cómo la calidad de estos disminuía notoriamente.
Así que, en conclusión, te la recomiendo ver si realmente eres fan de la saga de The Witcher, también te advierto no tener altas expectativas con la historia, sino que la veas sólo con el fin de entretenerte y pasar un rato agradable con las aventuras de este icónico personaje. Por mantener la esencia de The Witcher y esmerarse al menos en los detalles de Geralt de Rivia le otorgo:

Today is Thursday, and I'm readjusting my schedule to once again share weekly with you guys, preferably on this day. So here I go with my intention to give you my spoiler-free take on this movie that is fresh out of the oven on
Where are the fans of Henry Cavill, I mean The Witcher? I loved this series of the interpretation of my favorite actor, who has been my Crush since he did Superman, and how not to love this man if he is perfect. That's why when I saw the cover with this title The Witcher I didn't hesitate for a minute to watch it.
I have become a fan of this saga since Henry worked on it and was chosen to play Geralt of Rivia, it was as if this video game character was created especially with him and his formidable physique in mind.
And well, although I liked this film, it's not on my favorites list. After watching it, I concluded that I was just entertained, and I was pleased to see this anime version of Geralt of Rivia, along with other important protagonists of the series.
Let me explain why I didn't like it so much. The plot, although it was quite interesting at times and made an impression on me with unexpected situations that took me by surprise, reminded me a bit too much of the Disney's Ariel story.
Yes, The Little Mermaid, that Disney classic with the story of the rebellious daughter in love with a human prince. Here, it can be said that they took that plot as a base, only that they transformed it into the gothic and dark universe of The Witcher.
And yes, although the story is similar, it is not the same. Another negative aspect to highlight is that the plot at one point becomes predictable, that is, we already know that Geralt is a monster hunter who, at the same time, is discriminated against for being a witch and for somehow failing to fulfill his job in search of a clean hand justice for his high morals.
I think the romance story could have been developed more deeply and broadly. At the same time, it also has one or two censored sex scenes, while on the other hand, it shows action scenes, with quite strong and graphic fights, at a Gore level.
As for the designs, it was acceptable, but being from Netflix and knowing that they could invest more in making a better quality of characters at an artistic level, I still think they fell short. That is, from my perspective, I think they could have given something better and more elaborate, with more details.
As for the dispute between the different reigns, it was well handled, the suspense was handled very well, and the unexpected scenes were also great. I loved the art design at times, but then I disliked it because I could see how the quality of the artwork diminished noticeably.
So, in conclusion, I recommend you to watch it if you are a fan of The Witcher saga, I also warn you not to have high expectations with the story, but to watch it just to be entertained and have a nice time with the adventures of this iconic character. To keep the essence of The Witcher and at least take care of the details of Geralt of Rivia I give it:
