The synopsis I would summarize it as a story in which a town is damaged by something more than the real which continually punishes the group of protagonists in alternating stories, the latter is the best and is what I invite you to explore this anime, all have personalities that range from youth to children and this is bathed in an adult plot that deforms and traumatizes the mind of each protagonist.
When They Cry es un anime amplio y con gran éxito dentro de la audiencia de este tópico de animación con dos cualidades poderosas, maneja muy bien el terror psicológico volviéndose muy Gore en contados momentos de la historia junto la ternura que transmiten los personajes ya que son niños que desde un punto de vista visual la animación logra explotar muy bien este elemento.
La Sinopsis la resumiría como una historia en la que un pueblo esta dañado por algo mas que lo real que castiga continuamente al grupo de protagonistas en historias alternadas, esto último es lo mejor y es lo que mas te invito a explorar de este anime, todos tienen personalidades que se pasean desde lo juvenil a lo infantil y esto se baña en una trama adulta que deforma y traumatiza la mente de cada protagonista.

En el trailer puedes ver una variedad de escenas que transmiten toda la dinámica volátil de la historia, en mi caso eso agrado mucho porque cuando logra plantear lo necesario para impactar al espectador con la historia en específico que quiere transmitir entonces presiona el acelerador de la locomotora de escenas que se combina con el terror y las expresiones desquiciadas y de pánico en los protagonistas.
La historia es amplia, el autor logro dominar las capas narrativas muy bien, esto lo quiero destacar porque he hecho historias para hive y una cosa es escribir una narrativa lineal y otra muy diferente es plantear variados estados de la historia tomando la esencia para luego experimentar usando los mismos ingredientes pero obteniendo otra cosa, el punto es que se dice fácil pero para un autor o mangaka lograr transmitir la complejidad en capas de una historia no es fácil ejecutarlo.
En When They Cry te conseguirás una secuencia de hechos que te harán pensar y analizar lo que esta sucediendo, buscar la lógica de lo ilógico que te va a presentar. Esta parte de la recomendación es un gran punto a favor porque le da profundidad y si te tienes que tomar tu tiempo para poder procesar lo que estas viendo, no es una historia corta pero si eres fan de esas narrativas que pongan a trabajar tus neuronas entonces este anime es para ti.
- Character development and attractiveness is well Balanced
When They Cry makes you think that there are one or two protagonists but in reality the whole group of children you see in the images are, or at least for me that's how it is and that this anime has made me perceive that is positive because it guarantees that there are no filler chapters, but that the story remains attractive with characters that nourish what we are seeing and that do not become ornaments or comic vacuums as it usually happens in other anime.
The spectrum of personalities of the characters is what gives the subtitle of tender and bizarre to this anime because for example the one with purple hair is extremely tender according to the age she represents but has the ability to offer much more than that.
The same happens with the couple you see in the image where the boy is named Keiichi and the girl is named Rena, at first glance there could be romance between them, maybe yes or maybe no but she has the ability to convey those feelings of love and flirtation as well as innocent and evil obsessive dementia.
Watching this anime you will know the Yin and Yang in the soul of each of the main characters.
- El Desarrollo y El Atractivo de los personajes esta bien Equilibrado
When They Cry te hace pensar que hay uno o dos protagonistas pero en realidad todo el grupo de niños que ves en las imágenes lo son o al menos para mi es así y que este anime me haya hecho percibir eso es positivo porque garantiza que no haya capítulos rellenos, si no que la historia se mantiene atractiva con personajes que nutren lo que estamos viendo y que no se vuelven adornos o vacíos cómicos como suele suceder en otros animes.
El espectro de personalidades de los personajes es lo que hace le de el subtitulo de tierno y bizarro a este anime porque por ejemplo la de cabello morado es en extremo tierna acorde a la edad que representa pero tiene la capacidad de ofrecer mucho mas que eso.
De igual forma pasa con la pareja que ves en la imagen donde el chico se llama Keiichi y la chica se llama Rena, a primera vista pudiera haber romance entre ellos, quizá sí o quizá no pero ella tiene la capacidad de transmitir esos sentimientos de amor y coqueteo así como también demencia obsesiva inocente y malvada.
Al ver este anime conocerás el Yin y Yang en el alma de cada uno de los protagonistas.

Este punto de la reseña le doy especial énfasis en el caso de la audiencia general que disfruta constantemente de historias mas ligeras para la mente, en When They Cry veras muchos momentos graciosos como el que puedes ver en el gif y están bien distribuidos a lo largo de los capítulos.
Como mencione en el punto anterior, básicamente los protagonistas son versatiles y el humor lo transmiten muy bien, tanto así que When They Cry una vez finalizada su historia, tiene variados spin off que extienden la narrativa mas allá de su trama principal ya cerrada pero como el producto explota la ternura y lo cómico de los personajes, la audiencia pidió mas de esto y los productores respondieron con mas productos que luego reseñare porque son varios.
El Opening de When They Cry es de esos que no te sacas de la cabeza, cada tanto tiempo tienes que escuchar la canción jaja, como me encanta ese añadido en las historias que además la artista que canta el opening se casa con este producto y también canta variados spin off, son detalles que enriquecen el producto y hacen que la audiencia se mantenga fiel a una estructura o fórmula que funciono y que se renueva sobre sí misma de manera exitosa.
Son muchos los puntos a destacar en lo que queda evidente es un anime que me ha gustado por todo lo que ofrece sobre todo en profundidad narrativa, te lo recomiendo totalmente, el único detalle si te tienes que tomar tu tiempo, When They Cry tiene un estándar 26 episodios pero se extiende a lo largo de otras sagas que también luego reseñare porque cada una tiene su sazón y en este caso lo que brilla es la presentación y personalidades de los protagonistas de When They Cry.

if you like psychological suspense this anime is for you haha but in the end it also has light elements like comics etc, the gore scenes in my case was what made me watch this anime that in the end I ended up appreciating for its deep plot 😎

This anime had a huge impact on me when I first saw it. Aside from being a bit tedious at first because of the story, the atrocious endings and endings were worth it. It is one of my favorites in the horror genre, well, there are not many animes in this genre that have this quality in terms of character development and story.
