Yesterday my order online arrived and it's Naruto's Gama-chan coinpurse! At first look, I really found it nice, but as soon as I checked its capacity for storing coins, it was quite disappointing. I have no qualms about its cute size but at least it should have enough space inside to hold enough amount of coins. Unfortunately, it's so stuffy that the space inside was so little. Since I want it to be more functional and more like Gama-chan coinpurse-like I modified it with my bare minimum ability in sewing. So now be with me as I share with you my quick and simple modifications in making my new Gama-chan coinpurse spacey.
Ikuzooo!
Materials Needed:
- Gama-chan
- Needle
- Pin
- Red Thread
- Pen
- Scissors
The Process:
1. First, I carefully cut and undone the stitches inside the purse. The fabric inside was really thin so I did my best not to overdo the cutting and to avoid damaging the fabric.
2. Next, I pulled out the guts cotton inside it. With so much cotton being pulled out, it's no wonder that it's so stuffy and the capacity inside was small.
3. Now, that the cotton is out the space inside considerably increased, and that's when I noticed that the fabric inside was quite short for the whole space. So I look for a red fabric that I can sew to it to make it longer. I sew the excess edges of the fabric to match the length of the fabric inside.
4. After sewing the edges, I sew the additional fabric to the fabric inside the purse.
5. Then I sew the remaining open part of the fabric.
6. To finally end the process, I looped the thread on the last stitch to seal it—snip! It's done~
It took me almost an hour to modify and sew it. With my shaky hand, I'm really happy that I'm able to finish it. The result was satisfying because I was able to maximize the space inside it and make it more functional. It's quite funny seeing the result because now that I've got rid of its chonkiness, it looks like a starved toad hahahaha—poor Gama-chan—I really need to feed it with coins so that it'll look happy and full! So that's all for now minna-san~ Thanks for being with me 'til the end.
Until next time—jaaaneeee!

Excellent coin purse, now you will be able to keep more coins n.n
I like it, but I don't see myself using it ajaj
First because I think it would be the target of several mocks and second because with the coins in my country they are useless ajaj
Greetings n.n
Ohhh I see, I see... The coins here in our country don't amount that much, but they still aren't useless either... yet
Btw, thanks for stopping by, and yes greetings as well!
You did a great job, I could tell it had excess padding. Well done! 💚
It did have excess stuffing, and I'm glad I removed them because in that way it'll look more like Gama-chan... Thank you~
Btw, thanks also for stopping by and see you around!
