It happens to me with Junji Ito, I adore his work, even though I'm not a fan of the horror genre and it's precisely because of the way he manages to carry psychological terror so well that he doesn't need to use anything but his disturbed imagination to keep us hooked on his stories. My favorite of his works is Hellstar Remina, it's simply mind-blowing and I admit that I was unable to finish reading Uzumaki's manga, because I went crazy reading it at night and it gave me so many creeps that I got scared haha 😅
Uzumaki anime adaptation is coming this September. (Don't miss it👍)
