I Finally Watched "BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi"... <3

in The Anime Realm6 days ago

After my mom and I rewatched the first season of Blue Lock, we finally watched the movie BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait that long for the movie to be available online. (Thanks, Netflix! lol)

We're going to watch the second season soon, but we're still making it pile up more episodes before watching.

So for now, let me talk about Episode Nagi...

BLUE LOCK: Episode Nagi is a spin-off of Blue Lock which focuses on the character Nagi Seishirou.

Nagi is an extremely lazy and unmotivated person. Despite going to school every day, he's often seen either napping or playing games on his smartphone. He loves doing nothing and finds everything else troublesome to do. He's also often lethargic, be it in his actions or his speech.

However, the moment his path crossed with "the rich kid who gets what he wants" Mikage Reo, his carefree and hassle-free life started to disappear.

Although reluctantly, he found himself going with the flow and catering to the young master's whim... especially in terms of playing soccer together.

It didn't take long for their names to be known in the world of high school soccer as they continuously defeated powerhouse schools in their area. Reo being an awesome all-rounder paired with the unmotivated soccer genius Nagi... they were a force to reckon with.

And because of this, they were then invited to BLUE LOCK. Let me show you the trailer of the movie below.

Nagi is among my favorites (Bachira is still number one for me, though), so it was enjoyable watching Blue Lock from his point of view. It's giving me Haikyuu! The Dumpster Battle vibes since the movie was also done in Kenma's (a rival character) POV.

It was amusing to see how he and Reo met and how they started their partnership in more detail. Through this movie, the impact of how their relationship progressed in the anime became heavier.

I also like the part when the audience got a peek at Reo's mind after the second selection. It was heart-wrenching, but heartwarming at the same time. I love it when a sports anime shows more raw emotions apart from the excitement they give during matches.

Although the movie can be appreciated even without watching the series, I believe it's so much better to watch season one first. It'll give you a clearer view of what the film is about and you'll get to appreciate the characters even more.

It was a great watch! The movie only lasted for one and a half hours, but it's packed with not only fun and excitement but also inspiration... and anticipation of what's yet to come.

So, if you're into sports or soccer anime... or if you're a fan of Blue Lock, Episode Nagi is a must-watch! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I'll end my post here. Thanks a lot for reading and see you around! I have to catch up with the manga soon. haha

Have a good one!

No sé si me doy a entender

Blue Lock is quite unrealistic as a sport anime, but less fantasy-like than Inazuma Eleven.

If you like realistic soccer, I recommend Ao Ashi and Giant Killing. :)

oh you wait until netflix. you want free site to watch on?

I do have a free site to watch on(for those I couldn't watch on Netflix), but even free sites waited for Episode Nagi and Haikyuu! movie to get streamed on Netflix... :) Thanks! 😁✨🥰
