Ask Anime Question of the Week:
Which setup is better for you? You got Naruto with a squad composed of 3 (leaving out Kakashi), then you got other anime that can do well just by being a duo. Which setup works for you and why do you think having 4 member leads isn't as common?

I'd actually go with a group of 3... It helps to have someone to mediate in times of conflict. If there's just two, it might be more difficult to get along all the time. I guess it's common since most pair of MCs tend to have opposite personalities, so having a other person or character is a must.
I agree with you friend, it's a great trio
Thanks... ^^
I love the trios group, like Eren, Mikasa and Armin, it's like being in the middle and having other people who can be your left arm and the other your right, although we already know what ending they had 💔
Another trio that I liked was the one of the Yashahime, Setsuna, Towa and Moroha, leaving aside that I didn't like the anime very much haha that trio showed that with different personalities, they can complement each other and be one ❤️
The 3 that centrally guide the plot of an anime seem to me the best approach because it can add conflict in triangles, the famous love triangles for example that if developed well, only that can captivate a viewer to see how an anime develops, naruto as a love triangle is terrible but still that concept applied there managed to create debate among his fans etc
On the question of why 4 is not so common I think the following, I notice that in the human being prevails some obsession is with the 3, I may make a post about this because it is a good topic for discussion 😃
A duo looks few, a trio looks generic, and four of them would be crowded. I dunno, but the trio seemed to be more iconic and intriguing than the duo. Trio seems to be the pretty balanced setup because duos usually don't work fine all the time. A mediator could help because usually in a trio there's tension between the two members, and mostly that's what makes the show entertaining.
Well, the four-member leads aren't common because their dynamics are usually just like duo (it's like duox2). Also, there will be a member that's bound to be left out—either a new girl who can't relate to them or the timid one. It's hard to make interesting dynamics with 4 members (and Fairy Tail can attest to that because earlier in the series there are just 4 of them, then later on Wendy comes in making them 5!).
I miss my GruVia <3
The relationship between this two is really improving (>~<)! Also I'm really rooting for Jerza—I hope Jellal move like Gajeel because ahuhuhu unlike Gruvia, I think Jerza will take more time to seriously develop because those two are both dense! ┻━┻ ヘ╰( •̀ε•́ ╰)
Frustrating kaayo ang Jerza... They need a little more push! 😅🫣
Ahahaha bitaw!
This trio is great because they make me laugh a lot so I propose Inuyasha, Kagome and Shipo
I believe that a group of three is better on many occasions, from assisting in combat to relieving tension between the other two members of the group. Usually the characters in this group are of a similar or equal level to the protagonist.
I'd like to see an anime where one member of the group is totally useless. That is, he's only there for friendship LOL.
