Hi Everyone,

We have been in Japan for a couple of weeks already and I have noticed a few things of Pokemon items/merch. Prices of merch have drastically increased, compared to at least two years ago. The second-hand market in particular cards have been very high and high value cards are no longer being displayed like it used to. The cards I'm seeing are just $100 but they aren't even displayed the real thing, just a photocopy. I wonder why this it the case but I think there are too many bad people around at these stores.

Bookoff is the place we mainly go to check out second hand merch. We also found the old black tags from the old Pokemon Mezastar games and they are much cheaper than they used to be as the machines have changed as I have written previously. Over the Christmas period, the Pokemon centre was also giving out special gift tags for fans. BB E collected two of them and that was all he wanted. They are super cute and I don't think he will ever use them, probably collect them. If you are a Pokemon fan, make sure to check out the second hand merch for older products or for new items, the Pokemon Centre is the place to go.
