Yep, I get the mixed feelings part, although I never managed to complete any of the games when I was little,( I was a scaredy-cat despite it being on pixels for the earliest one and not having patience for puzzles and platforms, honestly I brute forced my playstyle with ignorance as a child), when you decide to just treat it as a separate story with reference to the game, the lore is quite entertaining along with the comedic portions. It makes me wish they would actually make a game based on the animation story.

I gree, as a totally unrelated product from the games, the series has some enjoyable stuff. From my side I wish Koami make a new Castlevania game but not based on the series for obvious reasons xD
