[Anime A-Side] 😌 My Calming Mix 🎶

in The Anime Realm • 7 months ago (edited)

Welcome back y'all. I'm on a bit of a break from most of my Anime content. That doesn't mean I won't be posting; I just don't have any specific Anime I'm watching right now or have watched prior that I feel like writing about at this moment. This post will just be some Anime music I'm currently listening to to calm my nerves. Y'all are invited to check it out. Let's jam!!!

"Hoshi to Hana" - Sanshū Chūgaku Yūsha-bu

Yuki Yuna is a Hero OP 1 (Studio Gokumi; Fall 2014)

Go in blind to this Magical Girl series. Just know that it's structured as 6 seasons of 6 episodes each; only the first 12 episodes are a complete arc (due to them not knowing if they would be able to adapt the Visual Novels and Light Novels that they were making while producing this Anime; the other seasons are proof that they did well enough on this first one). The studio that fronted its production was originally a branch of Studio Gonzo that became independent in 2010. I must resist the urge to nerd out!!!

"The Answer" - Hiroyuki Sawano x Laco

86 OST (Studio A1 Pictures; Spring 2021 - Spring 2022)

I don't have much to say about the series other than I went out and bought some of the Light Novels and am slowly consuming them before I finish the Anime; it's a great story with characters I vibe with. It's a bit hard to explain why this song was added here, so take it as a cheat more than anything. 😂

"Teenager's Tango" - Jun Murakami & Takeshi Abo

Steins;Gate (Studio White Fox; Spring 2011 - Autumn 2011)

This one is easier to place on this list: Okabe and Kurisu fighting and arguing to this in Steins;Gate will never get old for me. They really were an amusing pair of mad geniuses. Quoting a random stranger on Youtube: "The worst part about Steins;Gate is that you can't undo your first watch."

"Tanin wa Oniichan" - Masaru Yokoyama

Scum's Wish OST (Studio Lerche; Spring 2017)

I know quite a few Anime watchers were either not a fan of this series or will not watch it because of its subject matter and reputation. That's beside the point, though. This is just a very peaceful, simple track that played during the down moments in that series. It's also very cozy.

"Memories are Here Now" - Ken Ito

I'm Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 OST (Studio Maho Film; Summer 2021)

The scene where this song plays in Season 2 makes me cry when I think about it. This Anime is not an Isekai I'd recommend to most fans of that subgenre but will stick with me for a long time. Side note: this composer did the Vermeil in Gold soundtrack? Makes so much sense now!!!

"Tomorrow" - Mikuni Shimokawa

Full Metal Panic! Season 1 OP (Studio Gonzo; Winter - Summer 2002)

This right here is just a classic. It's such a happy song that works on many levels as the opening. If you haven't seen it, Full Metal Panic! is a Mecha war drama x high school romantic comedy hybrid that hopefully will get a season 5 in the next few years (although, not by Xebec, its fourth studio, since I believe they no longer exist). The only other Anime I've seen go through as many studios for its adaptations would be Date-a-Live (but others probably do exist).

I hope you enjoyed this playlist. Leave your comments below, vote and reblog. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful night.

Sort:

"The answer" and "Tomorrow" would be my favorites in this top. Ken ito's song on the other hand sounds like a lullaby.

Thanks for sharing!!!

Ken Ito has a general Kenny G vibe in much of his other works. It’s an acquired taste for sure.

Glad the other two worked for you, though
