Hey folks, tonight I bring you another new series I recently checked out. I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss or Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita.
If you read my last review, this series has a very similar title and follows kind of a similar theme. But I enjoyed this series a lot more. I enjoyed it that much I watched it in 2 sittings while relaxing and doing some Hive browsing. I enjoyed it so much that the ending actually got me a bit emotional, which is really unlike me!
Now it's time for some story.
Aileen Lauren Dautriche has a life-changing experience on the day of her engagement to the Crown Prince, Cedric Jeanne Elmir. Cedric tells Aileen that he is canceling the engagement, and instead is going to marry Lilia Rainworth, the Holy Sword Maiden.
This causes Aileen's memories of her past life to come back to her. Aileen realises that she has been reincarnated in an Otome game that she used to play. The next issue is that Aileen has been reincarnated as the Villainess in said game, who dies in the final act of the game.😱
With this rejection, Aileen knows that there is only one option left to stop her upcoming death. She has to seduce the final boss of the game, Claude Jeanne Elmir. Claude is the man known as the Demon King, who just so happens to be Cedric's half-brother. Aileen knows that if she seduces Claude and marries him, this will make sure her death is avoided.

Aileen finds out that her plan is a lot harder than she originally thought it would be. Claude rejects Aileen's advances, feeling distrust towards her and not wanting to get involved with her. This doesn't deter Aileen, it just makes her will and determination that much stronger that she will win Claude's heart.
Aileen plans to help fulfill Claude's wish of building a peaceful world between humankind and the demonic beasts of the land.
Aileen knows that her time in this land is to be short-lived if she doesn't seduce Claude and stop him from turning into the final boss of the game, a huge ass dragon that will kill her!
Overall I found it a great series, really enjoyable and fun. I did find it a bit off in some episodes as there seems to be character arcs that are part of the series, yet at the same time they aren't. Some of the characters aren't fleshed out and seems like their character stories have been very rushed. But overall it was still really enjoyable.
The art style is really nice too, not too bright, a very relaxed style and easy on the eyes. I wouldn't mind a second season if they decided to flesh out the characters more, and bring us more of the backstory surrounding the world they inhabit.
Also no fan service is seen in this series, I'm getting good at finding one's without the usual Cruchyroll recommended smut they usually push on my eyes.
now we get onto the exciting part folks, the Music 😎
The intro song is another banger for sure, 共感されなくてもいいじゃない by Rie Takahashi.
I actually couldn't find the name translated in English and I'm not a fan of translators so I have stuck with the original name, it still comes up when you google it which is great.
Next up is the ending song, ノミック by ACCAMER.
Again I couldn't find the title in English, but this is one of the best songs I've heard in an Anime for a while.
This has made me want to do another top Anime songs list, as we are well overdue another one of them soon!

Damn it seems like this type of ISEKAI is also be coming a trend. This is like the fourth one I've come across so far. And honestly I don't think I'll ever like it unless they spice it up a bit
