I am a fan of short and complete manga, and the reason is very simple.. I am curious by nature and I do not like waiting.
When I start a manga I like to know the full story without having to wait for chapters to be released every week or month. That is why manga that consist of one or two volumes are my favorite because they present a complete story without prolonging it. Among the manga that stuck with me recently is Futari no Renai Shoka and this is a romantic manga consisting of only two volumes but it was able to present a touching and distinctive story in a short time.
The story revolves around a young man who works in a library and meets a girl who has a strange passion for books. Their relationship starts out calmly but with time they discover that there is a special bond between them that goes beyond just a love of reading and The manga is not just superficial romance but it is full of calm feelings and deep dialogues about love and loneliness and The good thing about the story is that it doesn't rely on big events or exaggerated drama but on the small details that make you feel the sincerity of the relationship between the characters.
The drawings were very delicate and consistent with the calm atmosphere of the story and every page was like an artistic painting that reflected the feelings inside the characters. The ending was also very satisfying, and this is something that makes a difference to me because there are many short manga that end quickly or open-ended but Futari no Renai Shoka managed to close its story in a beautiful and calm way.
If you like calm romantic stories that focus on feelings more than drama, and without boring extension, then this manga is definitely worth reading. For me, this type of manga always has a special place, because it gives you an intense and influential experience in a short time, and this is exactly what I love.
