Hello, welcome to this new publication, the digital art of pixel art. It is something I wanted to experiment with when creating video game sprites, since a while ago my friends at school were creating an indie game. They left the project for academic reasons and I currently want to revive that project and I will begin to learn how to create pixel art. This style of digital art is made at the pixel level and was popularized by the first 8 and 16-bit games and resurfaced in recent years. years for its incredible and unique aesthetics and for the nostalgia it generates, since it reminds us of the old games we have grown up with.
Hola, sean bienvenido a esta nueva publicación, el arte digital del pixel art. es algo en lo que quise experimentar para la creación de sprites de videojuegos, ya que hace un tiempo mis amigos de la escuela estábamos en la creación de un juego indie. Ellos dejaron el proyecto por motivos académicos y yo actualmente quiero revivir ese proyecto y comenzaré a aprender a crear pixel art este estilo de arte digital se hacen a nivel del pixel y se popularizó él los primeros juegos de 8 y 16 bits y resurgió en los últimos años por su estética increíble y única y por la nostalgia que genera, ya que nos recuerda a los juegos viejos con los que hemos crecido.
To make my pixel art. It was quite difficult, first I had to understand how to work with the color palette and the limitations to transmit the image I wanted to make with a limited number of pixels for everything to work. I use piskel to make the pixel art which is free to use, you can use another tool like aseprite or pixel edit.
Para hacer mi pixel art. fue bastante difícil primero tuve que comprender como trabajar con la paleta de colores y las limitaciones para trasmitir la imagen que quería hacer con un número limitado de píxeles para que funcione todo. Utilizo piskel para hacer el pixel art que es de uso gratis, bien puedes usar otra herramienta como aseprite o pixel edit.
Well, as you can see, to create this pixel character I do something similar with pencil drawings, which is to make a skeleton or structure of what I am going to draw, and then I give it the shape that I want to give to this character. My first impressions are that this very skinny person looks emaciated, it's even a bit scary. But hey, it's the first one I've done, I'll get better at this.
Bueno como podrán notar para crear a este personaje de píxeles hago algo parecido con los dibujos a lápiz que es hacer un esqueleto o estructura de lo que voy a dibujar, ya luego le voy dando la forma que quiero darle a este personaje. Mis primeras impresiones son esta muy flaco se ve como demacrado, da hasta algo de miedo. Pero bueno, es el primero que hago ya iré mejorando en esto.
To finish, I wanted to put an interesting background with the hive logo. I couldn't think of much, so I settled on something simple with the name of the account and hive at the top. Despite the origins in old technologies, the unique aesthetics and the way of transmitting ideas and details with a limited number of pixels, pixel art has become respected as a unique and incredible way of making art. Ya para terminar quise ponerle un fondo interesante con el logo de hive no se me ocurrió mucho, así que quedo en algo sencillo con el nombre de la cuenta e hive arriba. A pesar de los orígenes en viejas tecnologías, la estética única y la forma de transmitir ideas y detalles con un número limitado de píxeles el arte del pixel art se ha hecho respetar como una forma única y increíble de hacer arte.
