Hello friends!
Trust you're doing okay?

It's a new week and I started it badly. I've been ill for days now battling with typhoid and malaria. It wasn't easy at all to be on medication and also finding out time to draw even in my weakness. One thing I've told myself since I joined the @splinterlands art contest was never to miss out a week of posting and even in my busiest schedule and weakness moments, I would always try to create an image for the contest. Inasmuch I love the way my work are supported and promoted here in @alienart and other communities in #hive, I also do it for pleasure. It gives me great joy to always draw and thanks for your encouragement and supports.

Like I said earlier, I went through a lot of stress to produce this piece and it was done in 3days. However, there's no regret cause at least I didn't spend the past three sick days on bed but there's something to show for it. While I was making the sketch, my hand were cold and shaking like I was in a refrigerator. I kept on making mistakes and erased them continually until I got the strokes right and that took hours to achieve cause I would draw and rest a little to regain my strength then go back to it again. With two days I was able to complete the pen sketch and after taking my medications on the 3rd day, I felt a bit stronger and began to work on the background and the additional colours digitally using the IbisPaint app on my phone.

That also took a lot of time, approximately 10 -11hours. Lol! All I said to myself at some point while working and wasn't getting a good results was I won't stop until I obtain the intended picture even if I had to postpone taking taking medication and so it was. My mom really helped me a lot in terms cooking and other things. May God bless me to reward her with a million dollars for that! It's seems like I'm writing too much, yeah! That's because I'm feeling much better today, lol..

Honestly I never planned to draw this character, it happened that it was the first character I stumbled on the internet when searching for a character to draw. However, that doesn't mean I'm not familiar with the Halfling. Yeah! I mean it's on character I love so much. I'm fully aware that a Halfling is a fictional small humanoid creature born of a human parent and a parent of another race in a fantasy fiction.. The name in full even makes it more interesting. And that's why I recreated a front view image of the character holding a sword an a blending substance as its name implies. I do hope you'd love the result. Kindly check below for the procedure. 👇 Thanks for reading!
