A week ago I made a post showing you how I designed and drew a cover for Spotify which had a strawberry theme, and which had a rough yet feminine aura to it (If you haven't seen it and would like to you can go to my profile!) Well, today I also want to share with you a bit about another cover I made long before that one, which is quite different and the elements are not the same at all, so stay until the end to see how I made this wonderful cover! 🍀

Hace una semana hice un post mostrándoles cómo diseñé y dibujé una portada para Spotify que tenía una temática de fresas, y que tenía un aura ruda pero femenina. (¡Si no la han visto y les gustaría pueden ir a mi perfil!) Pues bien, hoy también quiero compartirles un poco sobre otra portada que hice mucho antes que esa, que es bastante diferente y los elementos no son para nada los mismos, así que quédense hasta el final para ver cómo hice esta maravillosa portada. 🍀
As before, I would first like to mention what the context of this work was for the cover as such. The album is called “Luck” and as the name indicates, its context is set in luck and all its elements. Apart from that, it also had to have a touch of madness and disorder, and that was represented with the various elements that could be related to the theme of luck.
For the colors, I clearly chose a palette of green colors, from very light and intense tones to darker ones. I wanted the cover, to have more or less the aura that can be perceived in this image (But with more craziness).
Como antes, me gustaría mencionar primero cuál era el contexto de este trabajo para la portada como tal. El álbum se llama «Luck» y, como su nombre indica,su contexto está ambientado en la suerte y todos sus elementos. Aparte de eso, también tenía que tener un toque de locura y desorden, y eso se representó con los distintos elementos que podían relacionarse con el tema de la suerte.
Para los colores, elegí claramente una paleta de colores verdes, desde tonos muy claros e intensos hasta otros más oscuros. Quería que la portada, tuviera más o menos el aura que se puede percibir en esta imagen (Pero con más locura)

First I started with the sketches, at first I did two sketches, but then I decided to keep the boy who had the perspective seen from a higher position, I thought it was much more dynamic and it combined more with the context of the album ⭐.
Primero empecé con los bocetos, al principio hice dos bocetos, pero luego decidí quedarme con el chico que tenía la perspectiva visto desde una posición más alta, me parecía mucho más dinámico y combinaba más con el contexto del álbum ⭐.
Then when I was comfortable with the sketch, I proceeded to make the lineart, I did it in a green color simply to better visualize the difference in tones I was using ♡.
Luego cuando me sentí cómoda con el boceto, procedí a hacer el lineart, lo hice en un color verde simplemente para visualizar mejor la diferencia de tonos que estaba usando ♡.
When I had the lineart ready, I proceeded with the green background colors, at first, I used a flat green color, but then I decided to add stripes of other shades to have more dynamism and clutter ♡.
Cuando tuve el lineart listo, procedí con los colores verdes de fondo, al principio, utilicé un color verde plano, pero luego decidí añadir rayas de otros tonos para tener más dinamismo y desorden ♡.
Then, I added the character's base colors in separate layers for skin, hair and clothing ♡.
Luego, añadí los colores base del personaje en capas separadas para la piel, el pelo y la ropa ♡.
And after that, I was adding in the layers of the base colors, and the rendering, it was a little complicated because I had never rendered with colors that were not those of the natural skin, but in the end I really liked how it turned out. I added blushes on the cheeks, glows in some areas of the face, shadows on the character, and other details ♡.
Y después de eso, fui añadiendo las capas de los colores base, y el renderizado, fue un poco complicado porque nunca había renderizado con colores que no fueran los de la piel natural, pero al final me gustó mucho como quedó. Añadí colorete en las mejillas, brillos en algunas zonas de la cara, sombras en el personaje, y otros detalles ♡.
When I had the coloring of the character completely done, I moved on to more details of the aesthetics of the cover. I added four-leaf clovers because what better symbol to represent luck? I added spots and stripes of different textures, decorations playing with other types of shades of green and loading the cover a bit of elements and craziness, because that's what the cover was all about ♡.
Cuando tuve el coloreado del personaje completamente hecho, pasé a más detalles de la estética de la portada. Añadí tréboles de cuatro hojas porque ¿qué mejor símbolo para representar la suerte? Añadí manchas y rayas de diferentes texturas, adornos jugando con otros tipos de tonos de verde y cargando la portada un poco de elementos y locuras, porque de eso se trataba la portada ♡.
Finally I added two yellow strips simulating those warning tapes that officials usually put to prevent the passage to some place, in this space would be the name of the album ♡.
Por último añadí dos tiras amarillas simulando esas cintas de aviso que suelen poner los funcionarios para impedir el paso a algún lugar, en este espacio iría el nombre del álbum ♡.
And this is how the final result turned out! ♡🍀
Truth be told, I have to say I had a lot of fun making this cover, I loved the detail of the clovers in the eyes, the tongue and other parts of the character's face, the pose, the touch of craziness, the mess, without a doubt it's an album I would give more than one chance to and I'm proud for that💛.

La verdad, tengo que decir que me divertí mucho haciendo esta portada, me encantó el detalle de los tréboles en los ojos, la lengua y otras partes de la cara del personaje, la pose, el toque de locura, el desorden, sin duda es un álbum al que le daría más de una oportunidad y estoy orgullosa por ello 💛.
