I can't say that I'm an expert at drawing them, but I can say that I like to do them and that I learned a lot of things that nowadays serve me a lot, so stay until the end to see this process quite summarized ♡.

Bueno hoy quiero mostrarles brevemente y de manera bastante resumida sobre como aprendí a dibujar algo que a muchos artistas nos hace sufrir ✨Las manos✨. Seguro que muchos sabéis a lo que me refiero, es un caos y a veces evitamos dibujarlas, aunque, con mucha práctica es posible AMAR dibujarlas, como es mi caso. No puedo decir que sea una experta dibujándolas, pero sí que me gusta hacerlas y que aprendí muchas cosas que hoy en día me sirven de mucho, así que quedaos hasta el final para ver este proceso bastante resumido ♡.
This is the lesson of the human body, in the section of “Hands” The first thing I learned, were clearly the parts of the hand. Everything that encompasses this lesson is worthy of a medical student 😭, the important thing is to draw, but with the theory you also learn a lot ♡.
Well, this was like in 2022, I wanted to make a manga (It's still in process) and so, I researched a lot of websites where I could get better information to learn how to draw well, well. I wanted Pdfs, guides, that kind of stuff. That's when I found Jesus Link's Blog (You can check it out if you like - https://jesulink.com/tallermanga/). I learned a lot of things about manga, and I can say that thanks to one of his lessons, I learned to draw hands 🤲.Bueno, esto fue como en el 2022, quería hacer un manga (Todavía está en proceso) y pues, investigué un montón de sitios web donde pudiera conseguir mejor información para aprender a dibujar bien, bueno. Quería Pdfs, guías, ese tipo de cosas. Fue entonces cuando encontré el Blog de Jesus Link (Puedes echarle un vistazo si quieres). Aprendí un montón de cosas sobre manga, y puedo decir que gracias a una de sus lecciones, aprendí a dibujar manos 🤲.
Esta es la lección del cuerpo humano, en la sección de «Manos» Lo primero que aprendí, fueron claramente las partes de la mano. Todo lo que engloba esta lección es digno de un estudiante de medicina 😭, lo importante es dibujar, pero con la teoría también se aprende mucho ♡.
Here is the difference of the hands seen from the outside, and the hands seen from the inside (These are all notes and drawings I made from the lesson). The hands on the outside have certain differences, the tips of the fingers can be visualized in a curve, as in the image (A). The index and ring fingers are of similar length (B) while the middle finger is the longest. In addition, the knuckles (Essential in the sleeve) are not in a straight line, but follow the same shape as the curve A, this is the most essential ♡.
On the other hand, in the hands as seen from the inside, the same thing happens, the tips of the fingers go in a curve (A), each finger has two folds (B)that can also be visualized, the same happens with the knuckles, although they are not seen from this position, we can mark them and see that there is also curvature (G). In conclusion for this part, it is good to know about these curves, if we were based on straight lines, the hands would not be correctly drawn 🌸.
Aquí está la diferencia de las manos vistas desde el exterior, y las manos vistas desde el interior (Estas son todas las notas y dibujos que hice de la lección). Las manos por fuera tienen ciertas diferencias, las puntas de los dedos se pueden visualizar en curva, como en la imagen (A). Los dedos índice y anular tienen una longitud similar (B), mientras que el dedo corazón es el más largo. Además, los nudillos (Esencial en la manga) no están en línea recta, sino que siguen la misma forma que la curva A, esto es lo más esencial ♡.
Por otro lado, en las manos vistas desde dentro, ocurre lo mismo, las puntas de los dedos van en curva (A), cada dedo tiene dos pliegues (B) que también se pueden visualizar, lo mismo ocurre con los nudillos, aunque no se ven desde esta posición, podemos marcarlos y ver que también hay curvatura (G). En conclusión para esta parte, es bueno saber de estas curvas, si nos basáramos en líneas rectas, las manos no estarían correctamente dibujadas 🌸.
After this, I followed an exercise that consisted of drawing several times your own hand seen from the outside, and from the inside, this is how mine looked like (I only did 5 repetitions of this, I thought it was enough JAJJAJ) It's worth mentioning that I knew zero about drawing hands, but this helped me a lot, I just took a picture of my own hands and drew them, it's a very good tip. ♡.
Después de esto, seguí un ejercicio que consistía en dibujar varias veces tu propia mano vista desde afuera, y desde adentro, así quedaron las mías (sólo hice 5 repeticiones de esto, me pareció suficiente JAJJAJ) Cabe mencionar que yo sabía cero de dibujar manos, pero esto me ayudó mucho, sólo tomé una foto de mis propias manos y las dibujé, es un muy buen tip. ♡.
After this, there is a section that is to know better the bones and draw the fingers, here I made a small scheme simplifying the bones of the hand (Really it could be perfectly a medicine class AJSJS😩). The first bones that are in the hand (the ones painted in green) are the bones of the fingers,the phalanges. Something very important that we must know to draw, is that each finger has three phalanges, except the thumb that has only two ♡.
Then the Metacarpals, although you will rarely need to know much about them when drawing, it's not something too complex, however, they are there, it's good that you know about them when making your guide lines for the complete drawing of the hands. The union between a phalange, and a Metacarpal, are the knuckles 💓 (Then in the orange part there are many bones that don't matter much, I didn't study too much about them and it's not a complex part to draw, it would be the union with the wrist and that's it).
Después de esto, hay una sección que es para conocer mejor los huesos y dibujar los dedos, aquí hice un pequeño esquema simplificando los huesos de la mano (Realmente podría ser perfectamente una clase de medicina AJSJS😩). Los primeros huesos que están en la mano (los pintados en verde) son los huesos de los dedos, las falanges. Algo muy importante que debemos saber para dibujar, es que cada dedo tiene tres falanges, excepto el pulgar que sólo tiene dos ♡.
Luego los Metacarpianos, aunque rara vez necesitarás saber mucho de ellos a la hora de dibujar, no es algo demasiado complejo, sin embargo, están ahí, es bueno que los conozcas a la hora de hacer tus líneas guía para el dibujo completo de las manos. La unión entre una falange, y un Metacarpiano, son los nudillos 💓 (Luego en la parte naranja hay muchos huesos que no importan mucho, no estudié demasiado sobre ellos y no es una parte compleja de dibujar, sería la unión con la muñeca y ya está).
With this learned, we can start drawing fingers. Learning to draw each finger independently will help you a lot to draw a hand in any position. A very good technique with which I learned this is the three-cylinder technique. Since a finger has three Phalanges, then you can draw three cylinders to make one finger ♡.
You can practice this to draw fingers. Another important fact, is that the phalanges are not the same size, the cylinder should be smaller as we get closer to the tip of the finger. But practice, it doesn't matter if we make the cylinders the same, as I show you here 🌸....
Con esto aprendido, podemos empezar a dibujar dedos. Aprender a dibujar cada dedo independientemente te ayudará mucho a dibujar una mano en cualquier posición. Una técnica muy buena con la que aprendí esto es la técnica de los tres cilindros. Como un dedo tiene tres falanges, entonces puedes dibujar tres cilindros para hacer un dedo ♡.
Puedes practicar esto para dibujar los dedos. Otro dato importante, es que las falanges no son del mismo tamaño, el cilindro debe ser más pequeño a medida que nos acercamos a la punta del dedo. Pero practica, no importa si hacemos los cilindros iguales, como te muestro aquí 🌸....
As I already mentioned, you can draw making your own model, observing the fingers of the hand you are not drawing with. Here I leave a small sketch where you can also appreciate what I studied 🌸.
Como ya te comenté, puedes dibujar haciendo tu propio modelo, observando los dedos de la mano con la que no dibujas. Aquí os dejo un pequeño boceto donde también se puede apreciar lo que he estudiado 🌸.
Finally, I studied a small section to study fists from geometric figures. Some front cuffs are easy to simplify from a few lines. If you transport the model of the front fist, to other perspective drawings, you could have a good start to draw fists from any point of view ♡.
Por último, estudié una pequeña sección para estudiar los puños a partir de figuras geométricas. Algunos puños delanteros son fáciles de simplificar a partir de unas pocas líneas. Si transportas el modelo del puño delantero, a otros dibujos en perspectiva, podrías tener un buen comienzo para dibujar puños desde cualquier punto de vista ♡.
And this would be all for the theoretical part. I know it is not much, but it taught me a lot. In some conclusions we can determine that knowing the parts of the hand, helps us to draw them; Geometric figures can help us a lot, like cylinders, etc; The shape of the hand always varies depending on who you draw but they are always the same principles; We have to adapt the realistic hand to the characteristics of our drawing style, I for example almost always draw thin hands without nails HAHAHA, And, don't avoid drawing hands, it's always better to learn than to run away 🌸.
Y esto sería todo por la parte teórica. Sé que no es mucho, pero me enseñó mucho. En algunas conclusiones podemos determinar que conocer las partes de la mano, nos ayuda a dibujarlas; Las figuras geométricas nos pueden ayudar mucho, como los cilindros, etc; La forma de la mano siempre varía según a quien dibujes pero siempre son los mismos principios; Hay que adaptar la mano realista a las características de nuestro estilo de dibujo, yo por ejemplo casi siempre dibujo manos delgadas sin uñas JAJAJA, Y, no evites dibujar manos, siempre es mejor aprender que huir 🌸.
Finally, in the practical part, I did an exercise that consisted of making my own catalog of poses to be able to draw. He recommended a series of poses that we could use, the idea was to photograph the same pose of our own hands in three or four different angles, I did only three. I can say that this exercise of drawing a thousand hands in different poses, was the one that really made me learn how to draw them, at first it was difficult because the poses became more and more complex, but that's what helped me, having learned to draw hands in complex poses, you can learn to draw them in any pose, that's how the ones I drew turned out ♡.
Por último, en la parte práctica, hice un ejercicio que consistía en hacer mi propio catálogo de poses para poder dibujar. Nos recomendó una serie de poses que podíamos utilizar, la idea era fotografiar la misma pose de nuestras propias manos en tres o cuatro ángulos diferentes, yo sólo hice tres. Puedo decir que este ejercicio de dibujar mil manos en diferentes poses, fue el que realmente me hizo aprender a dibujarlas, al principio fue difícil porque las poses se hacían cada vez más complejas, pero eso fue lo que me ayudó, al haber aprendido a dibujar manos en poses complejas, puedes aprender a dibujarlas en cualquier pose, así salieron las que dibujé ♡.
