Emptiness — Hive

Hola comunidad, como están? Hoy tenia ganas de hacer una obra algo nostálgica y surrealista, pero a la vez sencilla, he realizado en varias ocasiones cabezas donde su cuello parece estar cortado, es algo que me encanta y me transmite muchísimas cosas, por eso he tomado nuevamente eso de inspiración, creando este retrato donde las lagrimas negras flotan de sus ojos acompañada con una expresión de tristeza, use tonalidades marrones, me parece que lucia bastante elegante asi, espero que les guste.

Today I wanted to do a somewhat nostalgic and surreal work, but at the same time simple, I have made heads on several occasions where the neck seems to be cut, it is something that I love and it transmits many things to me, that is why I have taken that inspiration again , creating this portrait where black tears float from her eyes accompanied by a sad expression, I used brown tones, I think all the drawing looked quite elegant like that, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto y elegí los colores, como les comente elegí tonos tierra, comencé poniendo un tono rosa pálido de base y luego elegí diferentes tonos de piel con marrones claros y pálidos, sobre estos tonos coloque una nueva capa donde comencé a difuminar cada parte para comenzar a darle forma al rostro.

I made my sketch and I chose the colors, as I told you, I chose warm tones, I started putting a pale pink base tone and then I chose different skin tones with light and pale browns, on these tones I placed a new layer where I began to blur each part to begin to shape the face.

Darle forma al rostro me llevo bastante tiempo, ya que no estoy acostumbrada a realizar dibujos de este perfil, pero por suerte todo salió bien, para el cabello utilice un tono marrón un poco mas brillante, con el mismo color pero variando los tonos un poco mas oscuros y claros realice las iluminaciones y sombras del cabello, se veía bastante lindo el cabello, quede muy contenta al ver como había quedado, para el hueco que realice en su cuello, pinte con tonos oscuros dentro agregando asi una profundidad y alrededor del hueco pinte con un color blanco una línea bastante delgada para darle mas volumen, pinte las lagrimas de negro, las hice gruesas, quería que pareciesen “espesas” Para el fondo quería algo sencillo, así que simplemente coloque un color base similar al tono que utilice en el cabello, aplique una nueva capa donde coloque un tono mas claro realizando algunos brochazos al azar, para que luciesen mejor aplique un desenfoque. Finalmente aplique un ajuste de color, saturación y exposición a toda la imagen.

Shaping the face took me a long time, since I'm not used to making drawings of this profile, but luckily everything went well, for the hair I used a slightly brighter brown tone, with the same color but varying the tones a bit make the highlights and shadows of the hair, the hair looked quite nice, I was very happy to see how it turned out, for the hole that I made in her neck, I painted with dark tones inside, thus adding depth and around the hole I painted a fairly thin line with a white color to give it more volume, I painted the black tears, I wanted it look "thick"
For the background I wanted something simple, so I just put a base color similar to the tone I used on the hair, apply a new layer where I put a lighter tone making some random brush strokes, to make them look better apply a blur.
Finally apply a color, saturation and exposure adjustment to the entire image.
