Si hay algo que me gusta mucho en los dibujos, son las flores, aunque no suelo agregarlas muy seguido a mis ilustraciones porque sinceramente siento que las flores son unas de las cosas mas complicadas de dibujar, al menos para mí. Entonces aproveché que tenía algo de tiempo libre además de varios días sin tomar mi lápiz y mi Tablet para hacer un retrato que tuviese muchas flores, incluyendo rosas, para que no fuese tan complicado de hacer quise pintarlas de una manera rustica, imitando un poco pintura real, acompañado de un retrato con muchos detalles realistas, pero a la vez con un poco de textura. Decidí usar muchos colores vivos para este trabajo pero a la vez dejando un acabado oscuro y aunque no me quedan perfectas las flores, me encanto como quedo todo el resultado, espero que les guste.

If there is something I like a lot in my drawings, it's flowers, although I don't add them very often to my illustrations because I honestly feel that flowers are one of the most complicated things to draw, at least for me.
So I took advantage that I had some free time and several days without taking my pencil and my tablet to make a portrait that had a lot of flowers, including roses, so that it wouldn't be so complicated to do I wanted to paint them in a rustic way, imitating a little real painting, accompanied by a portrait with many realistic details, but at the same time with a little texture.
I decided to use a lot of bright colors for this work but at the same time leaving a dark finish and although the flowers are not perfect, I love the result, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Comencé con el boceto del rostro, para las flores no hice boceto ya que siento que me iban a quedar mejor si solo las pintaba sin ninguna guía, para comenzar a pintar cambie el color de fondo con color marrón, luego comencé a pintar el rostro con tonos piel desaturados y claros, luego añadí una nueva capa donde agregue mas colores para terminar de formar el rostro, luego empecé a mezclar los colores que tiene la piel pero dejando algo de textura.

I started with the sketch of the face, for the flowers I didn't make a sketch because I feel that they would look better if I just painted them without any guide, to start painting I changed the background color with brown, then I started painting the face with desaturated and light skin tones, then I added a new layer where I added more colors to finish forming the face, then I started to mix the colors that the skin has but leaving some texture.

Pinté el cabello con marrón y luego empecé a dibujar manchas que se convertían mas adelante en las flores, pero primero debía darle un poco mas de forma al pelo añadiendo algo de luces y sombras con marrones claros y oscuros. Poco a poco fui pintando las flores una por una agregando tonos oscuros y claros, intentando darle la mejor forma a los pétalos, como mencioné quería dejarle algo de textura a los bordes de las flores, asi que empecé a añadir algunos brochazos en ciertas partes con un pincel con textura y opacidad baja, asi mezclar un poco el fondo con las flores, sentía que el rostro tenia mucha luz, entonces aplique una capa de sombras donde solamente oscurecí un poco el rostro, agregue mas texturas alrededor y algunas líneas delgadas entre las flores.

I painted the hair with brown and then I started to draw spots that would later become the flowers, but first I had to give a little more shape to the hair adding some lights and shadows with light and dark browns. Little by little I painted the flowers one by one adding dark and light tones, trying to give the best shape to the petals, as I mentioned I wanted to leave some texture to the edges of the flowers, so I started to add some brush strokes in certain parts with a brush with texture and low opacity, so to mix a little the background with the flowers, I felt that the face had a lot of light, then I applied a layer of shadows where I only darkened a little the face, added more textures around and some thin lines between the flowers.

Añadí algunas sombras debajo de los ojos y también cree una capa de luces, donde resalte algunas zonas del rostro, para finalizar realice una edición del dibujo para darle aún más profundidad y contraste a toda la imagen, además de aumentar solo un poco la saturación.

I added some shadows under the eyes and also created a layer of lights, where I highlighted some areas of the face, to finish I made an edition of the drawing to give even more depth and contrast to the whole image, besides increasing just a little the saturation.

I love flowers in pictures too. Not just because it feels very feminine but somehow they fit perfectly next to anything and do have the power to change a perspective over something in seconds. Great drawing!
