Hi friends, this week I'm a little late but sure, I was quite busy but I wanted to participate in @Splinterlands art contest which has become for me a weekly habit, this time as I was very short of time I decided to do a portrait, something I love and I find it easier to work with, I decided to do it with enough realism and effort to make it look quite powerful, this time I chose the card of Larissa Kerato which has a style that would adapt very well to represent in a portrait, I wanted to use many cold tones to give a purple/blue lighting to the whole image, I think these colors looked pretty cool to make this face, accompanied by a dark background that would help to highlight much more the purple neon colors that I did simulating her power, it was a very satisfying work to do, I really hope you like it.

Esta carta no tiene tantos detalles como muchas otras, asi que seria una candidata perfecta para hacer un retrato, además de tener unos colores divinos, no me había fijado en los cuernos en su frente hasta que empecé a realizar el boceto, siempre detallo todo mas de cerca mientras realizo los bocetos y cuando vi esto quede aun mas encantada, me gusto bastante, asi que realice el boceto adaptando lo mas que pude al diseño original y elegí los colores para trabajar, los cuales eran en este caso una gama de tonos morados, ya que quería una iluminación diferente para este dibujo, aplique los colores base y en una nueva capa añadí más tonos que ayudarían a darle la forma un poco mejor a las facciones, para el cabello rellené con un morado oscuro desaturado de base, en otra capa mezcle los colores de la piel dándole un acabado mas realista, igualmente el cabello, donde pinte diferentes mechones claros y oscuros para darle ese movimiento que buscaba. Coloqué los colores base de la ropa guiándome de la referencia, extrayendo estos mismos colores pero con una tonalidad un poco menos saturada y aplicándolos en cada prenda, luego le di detalles de sombras y luces para darle la textura de metal y de tela.

This card does not have as many details as many others, so it would be a perfect candidate to make a portrait, besides having some divine colors, I had not noticed the horns on her forehead until I started to make the sketch, I always detail everything more closely while making the sketches and when I saw this I was even more delighted, I liked it a lot, so I made the sketch adapting as much as I could to the original design and chose the colors to work with, which were in this case a range of purple tones, since I wanted a different lighting for this drawing, I applied the base colors and in a new layer I added more tones that would help to give a little better shape to the features, for the hair I filled with a dark purple desaturated, in another layer I mixed the colors of the skin giving it a more realistic finish, also the hair, where I painted different light and dark strands to give that movement that I was looking for.
I placed the base colors of the clothes, using the reference as a guide, extracting these same colors but with a less saturated tone and applying them in each garment, then I gave details of shadows and lights to give the texture of metal and fabric.

Ahora cambie el fondo a un color oscuro casi llegando a un negro puro y comencé a pintar los cuernos de la frente, los cuales pinte con una base negra y luego le añadí algunos detalles de luz para darle volumen, con la herramienta de selección hice una figura en el fondo usando un color morado y aplique un desenfoque, duplique esta capa pero sin desenfoque y cambiando a un color lila, además de modificar el estilo de capa a “screen” para darle ese brillo que buscaba, finalmente edite el dibujo jugando un poco con las curvas, logre oscurecerlo un poco mas y resaltar mucho mas algunos detalles de luz y color, hasta que estuve satisfecha con el resultado y ¡Listo!

Now I changed the background to a dark color almost reaching a pure black and I started to paint the horns of the forehead, which I painted with a black base and then I added some light details to give it volume, with the selection tool I made a figure in the background using a purple color and applied a blur, I duplicated this layer but without blur and changing to a lilac color, I also modified the layer style to "screen" to give it the brightness I was looking for, finally I edited the drawing playing a little with the curves, I managed to darken it a little more and highlight some details of light and color, until I was satisfied with the result and that's it!

Hola amigos, esta semana llegue algo tarde, pero seguro, estaba bastante ocupada pero quería participar en el concurso de @Splinterlands que se ha hecho para mi un habito semanal, esta vez como estaba muy corta de tiempo decidí hacer un retrato, algo que me encanta y que me parece más fácil de trabajar, decidí hacerlo con bastante realismo y esfuerzo para que luciese bastante poderoso, esta vez elegí la carta de Larissa Kerato la cual tiene un estilo que se adaptaría muy bien para representar en un retrato, quise utilizar muchos tonos fríos para dar una iluminación morada/azul a toda la imagen, pienso que estos colores se veían bastante geniales para hacer este rostro, acompañado de un fondo oscuro que ayudaría a resaltar muchísimo mas los colores neón morados que hice simulando su poder, fue un trabajo bastante satisfactorio de hacer, de verdad espero que les guste.
