It was a perfect evening in its spontaneity and magic.
These may not be repeated, but inspired by this story, can be created new ones 🙃
It all happened in our with Vika flat, which itself looks like an old magical pearl thrown by the sea of love on the shore of an uninhabited island in the middle of the old Ukrainian city Lviv.
It was New Year's Eve mood, until the beginning of next year there were only a few hours.
Good music played, pushing us to the beginning of its sacrament.
The lights were off, we wandered around the room relaxed, and my friend took a long neon lamp in his hands, turned it on, and it lit up in blue, and all the paintings around shone with completely different colours.
The room was filled with lunar magic, and when we began to dance and circle this lamp in our hands, an idea suddenly appeared.
I took the camera and began to photograph all this blue carnival with a shutter speed of thirty seconds.
Our delight knew no bounds when we looked at the photos that were obtained, and trying not to lose a second, we invented new scenes and experimented with light in different ways.
Vika's large mandala seemed to pulsate in the depths of the room, as if asking to participate in this magical rite.
Against its background, we began to photograph each other, lighting up our faces with a white lantern, and then quickly left the frame, letting the camera take another picture of the mandala without us.
So this cool effect of overlaying the face on the texture of the picture came out, and we were happy.
The evening continued with guitar songs and joint painting, and our children's delight from the magical discovery remained forever in these photographs.
