Throughout life I have learned that bad things tend to happen all at once, one after the other, without seeming to give people a break, and that positive things happen a little at a time so that we learn to appreciate them more. At least that's how it has happened to me many times. There are times when the mind can't cope with thinking about solving many things at once or complicated things. And it seems that there is no way out or that there is destruction.

But life has also taught me that after a big storm or what seemed like something very bad, there is a solution, and sometimes that solution seems to appear magically, although it is not so. When there is a problem the mind thinks of multiple possibilities for a solution and each of them are potential futures. If we allow the soul, the intuition or the divine in us to act, it will bring us the best of them, and that is not magic, it is cause and effect.

That is why I always talk about following intuition or asking for guidance because although it seems difficult in the midst of the storm, it is that very thing that will get us out of the pit. This design reflects those situations where there is division, problems, but if we close our eyes and let the idea come to our mind. And butterflies always indicate that change is coming.

Design process

The design is made with six images and fourteen layers in Photoshop CS6, without the use of AI.

To create the background I chose two images of ruins. One of them is the first layer and the second one I distributed in five layers where four of them are blended with the overlay and one with the darker colour. This second image, in the different layers I varied it in scale and position to achieve the effect you see.

Then I worked on the image of the neurons in three layers, one of which I placed it whole and with difference blending and the other two I only used a piece that I placed in the lower part of the design and with lighter colour blending.

Between the first layer of neurons and the others, I placed the image of the woman in profile in two layers with opposite orientations and with lighter colour blending. I also placed the image of the woman with her eyes closed in the middle of the other two. In this case I made two layers, previously erasing a lot of background and with darker and lighter colour fusions.

Finally I used an image of a brain with fire, but my idea was that only the fire on the woman's head would be visible, so I first erased a lot of background and then put the lighter colour blend, which made the brain not visible.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

A lo largo de la vida he aprendido que las cosas malas suelen suceder todas juntas, una tras otra, sin parecer dar respiro a las personas y que las cosas positivas se dan de a poco para aprender a apreciarlas más. Al menos así me ha pasado muchas veces. Hay momentos en que la mente no puede más de tanto pensar en solucionar muchas cosas a la vez o cosas complicadas. Y parece que no hay salida o que hay una destrucción.

Pero la vida también me ha enseñado que luego de una gran tormenta o aquello que parecía algo muy malo, hay una solución, y a veces esa solución parece que aparece mágicamente, aunque no es así. Cuando hay un problema la mente piensa en múltiples posibilidades de solución y cada uno de ellos son futuros potenciales. Si dejamos que actúe el alma, la intuición o lo divino en nosotros, nos traerá la mejor de ellas, y eso no es magia, es causa y efecto.

Es por ello que siempre hablo de seguir la intuición o pedir guía porque, aunque parece algo difícil en medio de la tempestad es eso mismo lo que nos sacará de ese pozo. Este diseño refleja esas situaciones donde hay división, problemas, pero si cerramos los ojos y dejamos actuar la idea vendrá a nuestra mente. Y las mariposas siempre indican que viene un cambio.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con seis imágenes y en catorce capas dentro del programa Photoshop CS6, sin uso de IA.

Para crear el fondo elegí dos imágenes de ruinas. Una de ellas es la primera capa y la segunda la distribuí en cinco capas donde cuatro de ellas llevan la fusión de superponer y una la de color más oscuro. Esta segunda imagen, en las diferentes capas la varié en escala y posición para lograr el efecto que ven.

Luego trabajé la imagen de las neuronas en tres capas, una de las cuales la coloqué entera y con fusión de diferencia y las otras dos sólo usé un trozo que coloqué en la parte baja del diseño y con fusión de color más claro.

Entre la primera capa de neuronas y las otras, coloqué la imagen de la mujer de perfil en dos capas con orientaciones contrapuestas y con fusión de color más claro. También puse la imagen de la mujer con los ojos cerrados en medio de las otras dos. En este caso hice dos capas, borrando previamente bastante fondo y con fusiones de color más oscuro y color más claro.

Finalmente use una imagen de un cerebro con fuego, pero mi idea era que solamente se viera el fuego en la cabeza de la mujer por lo que primero borre bastante fondo y luego puse la fusión de color más claro, lo que hizo que el cerebro no se vea.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
