Desde siempre me encantan las flores. Recuerdo cuando era niña y adolescente me encantaban las rosas, pero luego mi gusto fue a flores más sencillas. Una vez una profesora me pregunto qué flores me gustaban, porque uno elije de acuerdo a las características de la flor y que podía haber algo de ellas en nosotros, como pasa con los animales.

Ella tenía en cuenta, la sencillez, si tiene espinas o no, si su nombre es en femenino o masculino y muchas cosas más. Lo sé, parece que cada cuadro tiene algo que contar y es así, me inspiro en algo que viví o algún gusto personal, además de muchas veces dar un mensaje.

Pues una de mis flores favoritas son los tulipanes, muy simples, pero hermosas, además de otras características, pero cuando en mi vida conocí las amapolas, por su forma, color y textura me encantaron, no sé si les pasa lo mismo, pero me parece como si estuvieran hechas de papel. Veo en ellas belleza, pero también fragilidad.

I have always loved flowers. I remember as a child and teenager I loved roses, but then my taste went to simpler flowers. Once a teacher asked me which flowers I liked, because one chooses according to the characteristics of the flower and that there could be something of them in us, as it happens with animals.

She took into account the simplicity, whether it has thorns or not, whether its name is feminine or masculine and many other things. I know, it seems that each painting has something to tell and that's how it is, I get inspired by something I have experienced or a personal taste, as well as often giving a message.

Well, one of my favourite flowers are tulips, very simple, but beautiful, besides other characteristics, but when I met poppies in my life, because of their shape, colour and texture I loved them, I don't know if the same thing happens to them, but it seems to me as if they were made of paper. I see beauty in them, but also fragility.

Por ese motivo decidí hacer una mujer amapola donde ambas estuvieran fusionadas, como ven, hasta salen pétalos de su rostro, una simbología de la suavidad de la mujer.

Para el dibujo, como siempre tracé algunas líneas para ubicar los ojos, la nariz y la boca y algunos puntos de referencia para saber dónde termina el rostro y los laterales. Quería ojos grandes, aunque no mucho más grandes de lo normal.

Debajo de los párpados de abajo dibujé unos pétalos irregulares sin ninguna simetría, con algunos capullos y luego dibujé varias amapolas entrelazándose con el cuello de la mujer, como así también más capullos, pero cerrados y varias ramas aleatorias. El fondo sería blanco, pero, aunque luego esas ramas estuvieran tapadas por el blanco me gusta dibujarlas.

For this reason I decided to make a poppy woman where both are fused, as you can see, even petals come out of her face, a symbol of the softness of the woman.

For the drawing, as always, I drew some lines to locate the eyes, the nose and the mouth and some reference points to know where the face ends and the sides. I wanted big eyes, but not much bigger than normal.

Under the lower eyelids I drew some irregular petals without any symmetry, with some buds and then I drew several poppies intertwining with the woman's neck, as well as more buds, but closed and several random branches. The background would be white, but, even if those branches were covered by the white, I like to draw them.

En el caso de la pintura, primero fui pintando el rostro, la piel, con el color blanco, piel y marrón oscuro para dar las sombras. Trato de no usar el negro, porque es muy invasivo, sólo usé un poco para la nariz y los ojos, debajo de los labios y las sombras que proyectan los pétalos sobre la piel.

Luego de la nariz pinté los ojos y quería que fueran de color morado o violeta, cambio, me encanta su significado. Luego pinté con rojo, carmín, blanco, un poco de marrón y algo de negro, los labios.

Quería que diera la sensación de que los pétalos nacen en los párpados y luego están sobre la piel por ello creé sobra debajo de ellos. La sombra es lo que hace que algo en una pintura pareciera que se sale de ella.

In the case of the painting, I first painted the face, the skin, with white, skin and dark brown to give the shadows. I try not to use black, because it is very invasive, I only used a little for the nose and the eyes, under the lips and the shadows cast by the petals on the skin.

After the nose I painted the eyes and I wanted them to be purple or violet, change, I love their meaning. Then I painted with red, carmine, white, a little brown and some black, the lips.

I wanted to give the impression that the petals are born on the eyelids and then they are on the skin, so I created some shadow underneath them. The shadow is what makes something in a painting look like it's coming out of it.

Luego pinté el cabello con gris, azul y blanco, pero imaginé que la mujer tenía el cabello atado por lo que no hice mucho cabello. Como el fondo es blanco quería que se notaran muy bien las amapolas que hice cerca del cuello. Para los pétalos y las amapolas usé rojo, carmín, blanco y gris oscuro.

El cuelo de la mujer son hojas y de allí se desprenden una serie de capullos y ramas hacia arriba. En este caso usé gris, verde oscuro, verde claro y algo de blanco. Elegí gris oscuro por lo mismo que mencionaba antes del negro. Quería que resaltara a luz y el rojo de las amapolas junto con los ojos de la mujer.

Me gustó la idea de mezclar un rostro de mujer con flores y anteayer alguien indirectamente aquí en Hive me dio la idea de las amapolas, y ahí mismo se me ocurrió la idea. Recuerdo que la técnica es óleo sobre madera.

Then I painted the hair with grey, blue and white, but I imagined that the woman's hair was tied back so I didn't do much hair. As the background is white I wanted the poppies that I made near the neck to be very noticeable. For the petals and poppies I used red, carmine, white and dark grey.

The woman's neck is made up of leaves and from there a series of buds and branches grow upwards. In this case I used grey, dark green, light green and some white. I chose dark grey for the same reason I mentioned black before. I wanted to bring out the light and the red of the poppies along with the woman's eyes.

I liked the idea of mixing a woman's face with flowers and the day before yesterday someone indirectly here at Hive gave me the idea of the poppies, and that's when I came up with the idea. I remember that the technique is oil on wood.
