Recuerdo cuando hace muchos años una mujer que sabe mucho me hizo elegir entre cuatro objetos: Un círculo, un cuadrado, un triángulo y un garabato. Sin dudarlo elegí el círculo. Definitivamente me definía por completo. Las personas que eligen el círculo son emocionales.
Creo que sin esta emoción que se une fuertemente a la imaginación y creatividad no sería yo misma, por lo que nuevamente he pintado un autorretrato.
Las emociones, son las que, además, me permiten tener una percepción distinta del mundo y muchas veces presentir cosas. Digámosle el tercer ojo desarrollado, que deviene de las emociones, esa conexión, esa vibración que no se puede explicar. También la podemos llamar intuición.
I remember when many years ago a woman who knows a lot made me choose between four objects: a circle, a square, a triangle and a squiggle. Without hesitation I chose the circle. It definitely defined me completely. People who choose the circle are emotional.
I believe that without this emotion that is strongly linked to imagination and creativity I would not be myself, so again I have painted a self-portrait.
Emotions are also what allow me to have a different perception of the world and often to sense things. Let's call it the developed third eye, which comes from emotions, that connection, that vibration that cannot be explained. We can also call it intuition.

Pero el cuadro quería decorarlo con alguna flor, me encantan. Y la flor de agua que más me gusta es la flor de loto. Por lo que sería una mujer cuya piel tuviera en algunas zonas un tono azulado, también líneas de agua, gotas, su cabello de agua y las flores de loto con hojas rodeándola.
Esta vez la madera volvía a ser oscura, por lo que decidí darle una suave mano de blanco primero, pero no muy profunda, sino solamente para poder ver las líneas del lápiz al dibujar.
Luego hice las habituales líneas guías para centrar bien los ojos, nariz y boca, sólo para eso. Comencé a dibujar los ojos cristalinos, querían que fueran como ver el interior de una persona.
Luego la nariz y la boca un poco más fina que en las versiones anteriores. El cabello y las líneas de agua, quería que fueran como una continuación por su rostro, donde todo se entremezclaba. El cuello sería también de agua formado por delicadas curvas.
El rostro además de las líneas de agua quería que tuviera gotas, hice unas aquí y allá.

This time the wood was dark again, so I decided to give it a soft coat of white first, but not too deep, just to be able to see the pencil lines when drawing.
Then I did the usual guide lines to centre the eyes, nose and mouth, just for that. I started drawing the crystalline eyes, they wanted them to be like looking inside a person.
Then the nose and mouth a bit thinner than in the previous versions. The hair and the water lines, I wanted them to be like a continuation down his face, where everything was intermingled. The neck would also be made of water, formed by delicate curves.
In addition to the water lines, I wanted the face to have drops, I made some here and there.

Prácticamente todo el cuadro es en tonos azulados. Usé varios tonos de azul: Azul talo, azul marino, azul cobalto, negro y blanco. Eso en cuanto al rostro y cabello, también para las líneas y las gotas. En el rostro además usé el color carne o piel.
Los ojos fueron lo primero que pinté, luego de demarcar un poco el rostro sobre todo la frente y contorno de los ojos. Utilicé los mismos colores mencionados anteriormente. Para la nariz fue lo mismo. En el caso de los labios usé color blanco, carmín, carne o piel, marrón oscuro y algo de negro.
Practically the whole painting is in shades of blue. I used various shades of blue: thalo blue, navy blue, cobalt blue, black and white. That for the face and hair, also for the lines and the drops. On the face I also used flesh or skin colour.
The eyes were the first thing I painted, after demarcating the face a bit, especially the forehead and eye contour. I used the same colours mentioned above. For the nose it was the same. For the lips I used white, lipstick, flesh or skin, dark brown and some black.

Como tanto las flores como las hojas están delante de la mujer se pintan de último y esos casos usé colores rojo, carmín y blanco para las flores. En el caso de las hojas verde inglés, amarillo y negro con un poco de blanco.
El resultado final me encantó, un todo armonioso y emocional donde el rosa habla de amor y el verde de salud. Me encanta siempre recalcar que significan los colores.
