**in an hypothetical reality in which the human being ceases to exists,
machine will continue to drive cities forward
and if one of these looked at the sky...**
This illustration gets inspiration from the book "Il castello dei destini incrociati"
(the castle of crossed destinies ), written by Italo Calvino.✍️
the story is about some travelers crossing the woods who take refuge in a castle in the middle of it. A great banquet is created by them and during the feast, they decide to use a deck of tarot cards to narrate their stories.🃏
The narrative text is accompanied, almost on every page, by reproductions of Tarot cards, in various combinations from which the writer creates various stories. It is therefore a work of combinatorial literature. Stories come from
"a finite number of elements whose combinations multiply to billions of billions."
(Italo Calvino)
To create this collage i started with a magazine of "Galaxy" ant cut all the small fluo guys🕺🏻.
found a nice moon from a sci-fi poster🌝.
it was pretty hard to get the city and the robot with the right perspective but in the end, i found the right pieces from an Isaac Asimov collection of stories and a pretty old magazine of "Astounding science fiction".🤖
Hope you enjoy this post, next one will have a mythological inspiration, a story that i really wanted to portray as collage. Stay tuned!
Nice
Thank you!💫
This turned out super cool. Looking forward to what you do with a mythical theme!
Thanks man🙌, in the next one there will be a magic sword involved🧚🗡
