Hey hey, so I did a warm up again today before I start on something else again. And since I've been so in love with this low light art style so much, I wanted to do another one.
And I also want to see if I still have my art skills intact after not drawing for a wlfew weeks again. I am actually dying to do traditional art, but since i can't draw at home because we're packing, I can only work on this for now:
Duration: 3 hours
Software: Medibang paint
I actually started this the other day then I just kept stopping and stopping because moving houses really require a lot of attention.
I started with a light sketch on blueish gray because this was the color of the ohlther drawing I was working on and I wanted to see how much pigment I could add before it started going awkward.
You could call this a color practice more than a sketch practice, really.
I initially had all intentions of making this one a gray scale that went blue-scale but idk, i started off with so much gray and I think I may have used the entire color spactrum in blending out that shading.
But one definite rule for me though is that I will never go full black on shading anymore, it's not really about the fact that it can make good depth, but more on the fact that if you use jet black to do the shading, it just dulls out the color so that's what I've been avoiding in this recent art style I'm trying to adapt.
then I kind of developed a pretty good technique that can keep up with my style, but I basically use 3 different brushes for it. I start off with watercolour for that subtle blending and blotches, then I work and oil paint brush layer for more definition and more vibrant colors the air brush for highlights and depth because that doesn't blend into the piece when I use it and I love it.
Anyway, that shot was before I added the highlights and added more depth to it, and lo and behold, I finished after 3 hours because I didn't want to pack my stuff anymore.
I appreciate that uou guys stopped by ^^ I would like to have tome for traditional next time, and maybe get some practice in before sketchtember and Inktober even though it's still months away until then.
The color contrast looks amazing. Glad to see you're still creating 😊
Just on times when I'm free ^^ this weekend, I got to sit down in peace for a while
Ah, time well spent I see. 🧡 Hope you have a great week ahead, Hanz.
I also hope for it. And I hope your week goes great too ^^

I can 80% say this is your art any where I see it on hive, even without checking the publishing author.
You seem to have a style peculiar to you, but I am not sure if you are aware of that. Are you ?
Ammazing
