Hello everyone! It's my first post after the introduction. So I've noticed a couple of art communities and I think my style could fit into this one (I'm kinda outsider and I make mostly abstract experimental/surrealistic digital pieces). Please let me know if I'm wrong.
This one is supposed to be an oak tree with a twist that its Thicker branches are made of bone while its roots and leaves are colored in purple. So here's my process:
First I drew rough shape that looked like something I wanted.
After that I cut out the more shapes inside it to segregate different parts of the tree.
Third and the longest step was starting to draw the outline. Of course I did put in more helper lines to actually represent a 3D object but horaay! I discarded a layer cause I run this on a tin can of the machine and it gets kinda laggy when you don't have enough ram...
Doing a crown also took me a while since I wanted to diverge from the shape I first drew.
Wen te fnon was finished I had to add some color to it. Multiple times of course... But this was more enjoyable part for me. The next was background...
Yellow one that I started wit was nice with purple crown of the tree, but it was too saturated and monotonous so I did add some dynamics.
Finally after doing the whole background I added a bit of a bit of dimming and the purple frame I always put into my pieces when posting online. Hope you have liked it and I'd love to hear what you think!
I wish you a great day! Stay safe!
P.S. If I don't reply to you soon it's probably the RC thing as I'm brand new...
