Hi guys, today I share with you my pencil painting of Lord Thanalor. The very first time I came in contact with this card what I noticed foremost was the grace with which he carried himself. That essence my friends was what I was intent on capturing. As usual I drew the first layout and after I was sure and free from second guesses the next thing I did was trace it out. After that coloring it wasn’t as hard. One thing I probably left out and only threw in at the tail end was his staff. I totally forgot about his staff and only added it after the deal was nearly done (I guess you can see it in the first layout).
After thoroughly observing Lord Thanalor, I must say that his composure and sternness can be compared to that of an Orc.
Before this Amazon drawing was put together I made use of certain shades of colors; Red, Wine, Yellow, Pink, Peach, Gold, Brown, Green and purple.
