Hello bloggers, I'm back once again, a little more often Xd, today I come to show you an illustration that I had on pause for 3 months, in this time I was advancing step by step, and today I had time to finish it completely, I think it is one of the illustrations that I have taken longer to finish, and it was not because it was difficult but because I had no time to finish it. I tell you how it was done and the step by step as always.
Hola blogueros, estoy de vuelta una vez mas, un poco mas seguido Xd, el día de hoy vengo a mostrarles una ilustración que tenia en pausa desde hace 3 meses, en este tiempo le iba avanzando paso a paso, y hoy tuve tiempo al final de acabarla del todo, me parece que es de las ilustraciones que mas he tardado en terminar, y no fue por lo difícil si no porque no tenia tiempo para terminarla. te cuento como fue hacerla y el paso a paso como siempre.

For the sketch and idea process, I first wrote down everything I wanted to have in the illustration, clothes, the look made with stars, and the colors I wanted to use. I wanted to reflect very well the magic of the night and that when I saw it the illustration would speak for itself.
Para el proceso de boceto e idea, primero escribí todo lo que quería que hubiese en la ilustración, ropa, la mirada hecha con estrellas. y los colores que quería utilizar. quería reflejar muy bien la magia de la noche y que al verla la ilustración hablara por si sola.

In this illustration, I wanted to do a portrait in my style, above all I wanted to practice color, whenever I do an illustration I always focus my attention on something specific. This way I can ignore for that time the other things and I feel that this way I advance faster. This time it was the color, I tried what shades of blue I should use and how I could combine them with other shades of color, trying also that each color had a reason and a context.
En esta ilustración, quise hacer un retrato en mi estilo, sobre todo quería practicar color, siempre que hago una ilustración centro mi atención en algo en especifico. Así puedo ignorar por esa vez las demás cosas y siento que así avanzo mas rápido. esta vez fue el color, probé que tonos de azul debía usar y como podía combinarlos con otros tonos de color, tratando también que cada color tuviese un porque y un contexto.

So, in this illustration you can appreciate more effort in the color than in the anatomy and in the composition. I tried with a mostly cold color palette with a lot of blue.
Así, que en esta ilustración se puede apreciar mayor esfuerzo en el color mas que en la anatomía y en la composición. Probé con una paleta de color mayormente fría con bastante presencia de color azul.

Finally I added a big blue moon in the background, to highlight more the theme of the illustration and give more prominence to the character. I think I will be trying other illustration styles soon, so maybe these will be the last children's book illustrations you will see for now. In the last few months I realized that I already learned this style and it's time to dedicate my time to learn many more styles and be an illustrator with a wider portfolio. Para finalizar agregue una gran luna azul de fondo, para resaltar mas la temática de la ilustración y darle mas realce al personaje. Creo que próximamente estaré probando otros estilos de ilustración así que tal vez estas sean por ahora las ultimas ilustraciones de libro infantil que vean. En los últimos meses me di cuenta que ya este estilo lo aprendí y que es hora de dedicar mi tiempo a aprender muchos mas estilos y poder ser un ilustrador con un portafolio mas amplio.
