Hello bloggers, how are you? I hope well, today I want to show you a little illustration that one of my aunts who is a professional chef asked me, she wanted an illustration in my style that reflected her passion for gastronomy, so I got down to work to create everything that was going through my mind at that moment. I tell you how it was done and I show you the step by step as always we go there.
Hola blogueros, ¿Cómo están? espero que bien, el día de hoy quiero mostrarles una pequeña ilustración que me pidió una de mis tías que es chef profesional, ella quería una ilustración en mi estilo que que reflejase su pasión por la gastronomía, así que me puse manos a la obra para crear todo lo que por mi mente pasaba en ese momento. Te cuento como fue hacerlo y te enseño el paso a paso como siempre vamos allá.

As I said, for this illustration I was inspired by my aunt and her passion for good food; she creates exquisite recipes and at the same time she has a very quiet personality and is not very extroverted, so I wanted to consider what shapes and what drawing could represent her in her essence, I didn't want to miss a single detail so I started to remember the moments I have lived with her because right now we are in different countries.
Como contaba, para esta ilustración me inspire en mi tía y su pasión por el buen comer; crea unas recetas muy exquisitas y a su vez ella tiene una personalidad muy tranquila y no es muy extrovertida, así que quise plantear bien que formas y que dibujo le podía representar en su escencia, no quería que se me escapara ni un detalle así que empecé a recordar los momentos que con ella he vivido pues ahora mismo nos encontraos en países distintos.

With that in mind I started to sketch a fat and hairy teddy bear because I remembered that he likes them very much and what better than turning him into a chef was the best point to reflect his essence, also in the color phase I added wine colors because first he likes to drink wine and I know it is his favorite color so this would be excellent besides giving a little more elegant touch to the drawing, everything looked very good. This time I gave myself the liberty to play a little more with the undertones to reflect the uniform because even though I wanted white color I didn't want it to look plastic, (you have to be very careful when drawing white objects).
Teniendo ese en cuenta empecé a bocetear un gordo y peludo oso de peluche pues recordé que le gustan mucho y que mejor que convertirlo en chef era el mejor punto para reflejar su escencia, también en la fase de color agregue colores vino pues primero le gusta tomar vino y se que es su color favorito así que esto iría excelente además de darle un toque un poco mas elegante al dibujo, quedaba muy bien todo. en esta ocasión me di la libertad de jugar un poco mas con los sub-tonos para reflejar el uniforme pues a pesar de que quería color blanco no quería se se viese plástico, ( hay que tener mucho cuidado a la hora de dibujar objetos blancos).

Every time I do a drawing I set a goal before I start, for this one the goal was to practice fur, it's something that has always fascinated me from movie animations and even 2D illustrations so that was my focal point, I looked for the softest brushes I had and I started drawing the fur, so if you see that the illustration in form is not very neat is maybe because I concentrated more on color and small details, in the end I think I really liked the result and my dear aunt was fascinated so I'm very happy, what do you think?
Cada vez que hago un dibujo me trazo una meta antes de comenzado, para esta la meta era practicar pelaje es algo que siempre me ha fascinado de las animaciones de películas e incluso de las ilustraciones en 2D así que ese fue mi punto focal, me busque los pinceles mas suave que tenia y fui dibujando el pelaje, así que si ves que la ilustración en forma no esta muy prolija es tal vez porque me concentre mas en el color y en los pequeños detalles, al final creo que me ha gustado mucho el resultado y a mi querida tía le ha fascinado así que estoy muy feliz, ¿a ti que te parece?
