Hello to all bloggers, I hope you are very well. It's been a few days of hard practice to improve even more details and today I come to share with you one of my latest illustrations of children's book. In my latest works I've given myself a little more the task of representing super attractive ideas and with a good message. This particular illustration is inspired by what we want to be when we are children and that little by little that dream goes away. I tell you a little more about this illustration and the step by step I had as always.
Hola a todos blogueros, espero estén muy bien. han pasado unos días de dura practica para mejorar aun mas detalles y hoy vengo a compartirles una de mis ultimas ilustraciones de libro infantil. En mis últimos trabajos me he dado un poco mas la tarea de representar ideas super atractivas y con un buen mensaje. Esta ilustración en particular esta inspirada en lo que queremos ser cuando somos niños y que poco a poco ese sueño se va. Te cuento un poco mas de esta ilustración y el paso a paso que tuve como siempre.

Before starting the sketch I wrote a very short story describing what was going on in the scene of the illustration. This has helped me a lot to have a very clear idea before starting to sketch and build an illustration that speaks for itself and goes hand in hand with the title and the story itself.
Antes de empezar el boceto escribí una historia muy corta describiendo lo que pasaba en la escena de la ilustración. Esto me ha ayudado mucho a tener una idea super clara antes de empezar a bocetear y construir una ilustración que hable por si sola y que vaya de la mano con el titulo y con la historia en sí.

So my idea was to make a child making a cardboard airplane imagining that it has wings and an engine, none of that exists but a child's imagination is so powerful that at that age you see it very real. I remembered as a child imagining that the wooden sticks in my back yard could be a sword if I played fights or it could be a kitchen spoon if I played pie makers.
Así que mi idea fue hacer un niño haciendo un avión de cartón imaginando que tiene alas y motor, nada de eso existe pero la imaginación de un niño es tan poderosa que a esa edad lo ves muy real. Recordé que cuando era niño me imaginaba que los palitos de madera de mi jardín trasero podían ser una espada si jugaba a las luchas o podía ser un cucharon de cocina si juagaba los pasteleros.

The illustration is about the boy and his dream of being an airplane pilot. But he tells his parents that there is a villain called Mr. Wind who wants to take away his plane and with it his dream of being a pilot. And year after year he comes and takes away a piece of his little cardboard plane. He tries to fight the villain with his sword, but Señor Viento always ends up taking a piece of his plane, even though he doesn't know what it will be used for.
La ilustración trata sobre el niño y su sueño de ser piloto de aviones. Pero el dice a sus padres que hay un villano llamado ; Señor Viento que se quiere llevar su avión y con el su sueño de ser piloto. Y que año tras año viene y le quita un pedazo de su avioncito de cartón. El trata de luchar con su espada con el villano pero el Señor Viento siempre termina llevándose un pedazo de su avión, aunque no sabe para que le serviría.

This represents time itself. The wind is the time that little by little takes away our childhood dreams and it is up to us to let it take them away or not. I was inspired by the dream of being a cartoonist since I was a child and that many times I saw that dream disappear, it was Mr. wind that took it little by little and I fought with him so he wouldn't steal it from me... that's why today here I am. I hope you liked this story and let me know what you think about it.
Esto representa el tiempo mismo. El viento es el tiempo que nos va quitando poco a poco nuestros sueños infantiles y que está en nosotros dejar que se los lleve o no. Me inspiró el sueño de ser dibujante desde niño y que muchas veces veía ese sueño desaparecer, era el Señor viento que se lo llevaba poco a poco y luché con el para que no me lo robara... por ello hoy día aquí estoy. Espero te haya gustado mucho esta historia y déjame saber que piensas al respecto.
