Hello to all bloggers, I hope you are very well :), today I wanted to bring you something a little different. This time I wanted to dust off my watercolors that I haven't painted with them for a few months, and taking advantage of the fact that I was already a little overwhelmed with so much digital painting I wanted to take the brushes again and make an illustration in my style but with watercolor paints for a change. I'll tell you how it was done and the step by step as always.
Hola a todos blogueros, espero estén muy bien :), el día de hoy quise traerles algo un poco diferente. Esta vez quise desempolvar mis acuarelas que hace ya unos cuantos meses que no pinto con ellas, y aprovechando que ya estaba un poco abrumado de tanto pintar en digital quise tomar los pinceles nuevamente y hacer una ilustración en mi estilo pero con pinturas de acuarela para variar un poco. Te cuento como fue hacerlo y el paso a paso como siempre.

In the sketch stage it was very easy, the most complicated thing was not to make a skeleton of many lines as I usually do in the digital, because the watercolor does not completely cover the pencil lines, so I used the pencil I use to sketch in traditional that really is not very noticeable, and that is also why I do not put the photo only of the sketch because you can not appreciate it very well Xd.
En la etapa del boceto fue muy fácil la verdad, lo mas complicado fue no hacer esqueleto de muchas rayas como suelo hacerlo en el digital, porque la acuarela no tapa completamente las líneas de lápiz, así que usé el lápiz que uso para bocetear en tradicional que realmente no se nota mucho, y por ello también no les coloco la foto solo del boceto porque no se alcanza a apreciar muy bien Xd.

The problem or rather the dilemma I always have when I paint in traditional style is that I don't know where to start Xd. when I draw and digital I always start with the face of the character and here I didn't know, it's not a problem but I have small obsessive compulsive disorders with that kind of things, so in the end I started with the secondary object which in this case is the pancake.
El problema o mas bien el dilema que siempre tengo cuando pinto en estilo tradicional es que no sé por donde empezar Xd. cuando dibujo e digital siempre empiezo por el rostro del personaje y aquí no sabía, no es un problema pero tengo pequeños trastornos obsesivos compulsivos con ese tipo de cosas, así que al final empecé por el objeto secundario que en este caso es el pancake.

Another reason why I wanted to paint with watercolor is because there is no way to erase mistakes, only the smallest ones, and that helps a lot to eliminate that thought that it has to be 100% perfect, painting this illustration relaxed me a lot, plus it is a technique that requires a lot of patience so you have to paint in layers and let each one dry.
Otras de las razones por la cuales quise pintar con acuarela es porque no hay como borrar errores, solo los mas pequeños, y eso ayuda mucho a eliminar ese pensamiento que tiene que quedar 100% perfecto, el pintar esta ilustración me relajó mucho, además que es una técnica que requiere mucha paciencia por lo que hay que pintar por capas y dejar que cada una vaya secando.

To finish with the painting I added the base and some heart details that give it the final touch. I think I will continue painting more often at least until I'm on vacation. also for practice because in my next semester I'm going to see these techniques in class. tell me what you thought of this watercolor illustration I would like to know your opinion.
Para finalizar con la pintura agregué la base y unos detalles en corazon que le dan el toque final. Creo que seguiré pintando mas seguido al menos hasta estar de vacaciones. también por practica porque en mi semestre que viene voy a ver estas técnicas en clase. cuéntame que te ha pareció esta ilustración en acuarela me gustaría saber tu opinión.
