This is a piece from 2019 when I started painting again. It was a guy crossing the street... Which I destroyed by covering with paint because I hated it.... Then it was the side of a building.... Which I destroyed again by covering it with paint because I again hated it .... And out she came.... I liked her so I kept her....
It captured who I was in that moment. A girl holding herself together after plans were destroyed for not living up to what they were meant to be.... An honest reflection of experiencing a divorce and forced to face who you are.... And realizing just a simple girl holding herself together.
