RE: Hive isn't worth losing your head over

For sure agree with the sentiment here! I've had some awesome weeks, hell even just recently I was for some reason getting a bunch of really strong votes from a few really big accounts and felt on top of the world, that I could crush my Hive Power goals for the year and have some left over.

Fast forward a few weeks and those votes have dried up for whatever reason lol. I'm not mad, a little disappointed because who doesn't love a strong upvote on a post?! But I've realized that with Hive, nothing is guaranteed really. Posts have to reach payout before the reward is then determined. My goals might not get achieved but that's fine, that's the thing with a goal. You set it and try to achieve it as hard as you can but sometimes it won't work.

I'd rather not force it, fake it and do all kinds of dumb shit to grind towards the goal but instead just keep writing, engaging and running the Rant community. What happens, will happen!

I think these are the things that people don't grasp or appreciate about a place like Hive. It takes time and even with time, things fluctuate and especially when there is a negative sentiment to the market it reflects into peoples moods.

Best thing to do regardless of good rewards or bad rewards is to most importantly engage on people's posts and communities and write at least one post a day if it's manageable. The rest will fall in place the way it wants to.

Those weeks where you totally crush it feels quite amazing.

Just doing your thing and riding the wave of unpredictability that comes with curation has always felt like the best way to go about things. Trying to force yourself to be a certain way just isn't fun.
