Luceheim Demon | SPT W-323 Splinterlands Art Contest, Digital Art

in Alien Art Hive โ€ข 13 hours ago

Hello, how are you all hive friends?

Hopefully all hive friends are fine, and always given blessings in this life ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is the 98th post since I joined the weekly art contest held by @Splinterlands, here I draw the Luceheim Demon character from the Splinterlands Luceheim Demon playing card.

I chose this character because at first glance it looks like the anime character Kaiju no. 8 and also the ONI ghost from Japan.

I made this fanart character with a horse stance ready to hold back while retaliating against enemy attacks.

For coloring, using the same full-color American comic style with semi-realism colors with vibrant colors.

To create this character, I used Gpen thick and thin line art.

This time I don't have a target because joining the @splinterlands character drawing competition is already really cool in my opinion, and congratulations to the top 3 winners and other winners ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฅณ

And also thank you to my friends in the Hive community, curators, and other artists who have always supported me in my work so far.

I made this work in 5 hours with 2 hours of line sketching and 3 hours of coloring and effects.

I haven't opened a commission yet, and I don't think so friend... because there are lots of good works from other participants... I'm just lucky๐Ÿ˜

Nahhh bro, you're good at what you do. Take it to the next level brother!๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Yes, but I think, for now I still lack a lot, both perspective, anatomy, coloring...I still need to learn a lot ha.ha...thank you for your enthusiasm my friend๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

Holy Moly this is so cool bro ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ!

Thanks bro๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š, But I see that your coloring technique is getting better now, I saw the holozing fan yesterday which was very cool...you are very skilled at painting with lighting, it's really amazing...your work is now more alive and I'm even more left behind ha..ha.ha

I tried painting in grey scale on the last one and I guess that worked. I'll be trying that whenever I can from now on. It feels like I got very lucky that time. That's all :)

Dude I like your works more xD. I feel like you are not using any references to get a good idea about lighting. I know how to do basic stuff but it's always better to get a good reference to do it properly. Your works are already great. You are one of the winners of the holozing contest after all.

Yes, grayscale is very good for lighting and like you will suit semi-realistic painting in the future, friend ha.ha.ha.

Yes, I rarely use references in lighting, because I'm too lazy to do it, I prefer to be like a comic artist who gives color to his illustrations with imagination and guesses a little about the direction the light is coming from and what kind of effect it will have.

Yes, I'm just lucky my friend, because when it comes to work at Hive, there are lots of great artists whose work is better than mine, including your work๐Ÿ˜Š
