Honoria loved birds. She'd kept many variety from the lowly sparrow to the flamboyant flamingo. Only she was worried just now with her latest feathered friend.
A dainty snowy egret preened itself on Honoria's well gloved hand.
Happy and content in it's new life, with endless fish to nibble upon and a gilded perch upon which to sit. He was unaware of his possible short-lived time in paradise.
For, always at Honoria's side was Mr. Jeepers.
Jeepers was a known avid bird eater. He considered it his duty to devour any thing in feathers, which often made for awkward moments when guests arrived in ostrich feathers or peacock be-decked hats.
Honoria was determined to keep her latest feathered friend... but would Mr. Jeepers oblige?
What do you think?
I hope you liked my little snipped of a story about this trio. They started out as rough sketches and ideas before being scanned and inked.
I believe I first made them for an inktober a few years back. Their illustrative style was meant to be the dark black against the white of the page. I still rather like them in that original form.
Yet I really have been having a blast coloring some of my black and white pieces. And painting and illustrating digitally allows for so many colorway possibilities.
I hope you enjoyed today's foray into color and that you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions; as always, remember to stay creative.

Mr Jeepers is going to have a very nice feathery supper :OD
Sounds like she needs somewhere safe to put the birds or the cat XD
She's far too busy preening to come to such a logical conclusion :) She's somewhere between the flamboyance of a peacock and the sloth of a cat :)

This turned out fantastic! I love the black and white version... but the color selection definitely pops!
