This is a combination of drawing + AI + photoshop.
By itself, AI is not yet sufficiently developed and does not do what you want from it, it does a lot of hack work, and this needs to be corrected. You can draw something first, then give it to the AI for revision, then fix its hacks in Photoshop, then again give it back to the AI for revision. And so I usually go 20-30 circles, and more, before I get the desired result.
